I stayed here as part of a group of 5 and we really enjoyed the place. The rooms are quite lovely and there’s a nice view of the city from the top. The host was very friendly and helped us find a good spot for dinner (they stop serving dinner at the riad around 5). The garden out front is also quite nice to lounge in. And the riad is centrally located, so only a 5 minute walk or so to the falls. The host speaks English as well as French. Highly recommend!
I loved the place and the people. The manager of the Riad was generous and humble.I really loved the little garden where you can take a delicious Moroccan breakfast .The rooms are clean and well decorated.Concerning food , We preferred eating tajines near to Ouzoud falls.
Stayed over night at Dar Ouzoud in transit to Marrakech. Simple Dar, ample tasty food. Upper room was light and comfortable. Decorations were tastefully arranged, loved the lighting but my mother found it a little too dark. Her room downstairs had issue with lack of water also too dark. Recommend the second floor.
We were hesitant at first to actually stay in Ouzoud rather than just coming on a day trip from Marrakech but we are so glad we did! If you want an insight into traditional Berber life away from the big city, this is the place to come. We found the whole experience utterly fascinating. Denise's riad offers a great base offering some home comforts to explore from. You get a decent room, ensuite facilities and a good breakfast. Good value for money. We also used Younsse who worked on site as our guide and he was so perfect for us. Being near our age (20s) he showed us around to the places we would most enjoy and we could also ask him all the questions we may not have dared ask a stranger! Highlights for us were seeing the ancient traditional Berber remote village, playing football and making a bonfire with his friends, the souks, a boat ride and of course the cascade itself! We felt very safe in Ouzoud despite at first feeling a bit nervous being on unfamilar territory. We went in November when Ouzoud is quieter which is great in many ways but if you're looking to go when ir's more thriving - try the summer months. We stayed 2 nights and I could easily come again. If you want to immerse yourself in the culture, this is the place to come.
After being let down with less than 72 hours to go by my accommodation in Tamraght the owners Dee and Manu saved my life! Not only were they able to accommodate me at short notice but I was welcomed with open arms and ate like a queen for 7 days. You'd be led to believe that the Riad had been there for decades as every part of the building is unique with its traditinal features and you can see the hard work to get every detail right in a traditional Berber style. As a solo traveller I felt safe and soon became one of the family 😁 x x My love and graditude will be in my heart forever along with memories of the amazing sunrise and sunsets on the roof terrace with my yoga mat and at the waterfalls. Come rain (and it did for 3 days) or shine it adds to the magic at the Riad Dar Ouzoud and for that I will always feel truely blessed.
Had the most fantastic stay in Riad Ouzoud. Stayed with my partner and his family who are Moroccan. We were pretty tired when we arrived after driving from El Jadida but were shown to our rooms and then had a walk to the waterfalls and Harira soup for dinner. The next day we all went to the waterfalls. We rode bikes to the market to buy meat and fruit then headed to the main attraction - the waterfalls, spent the day there and then had a lunch BBQ and also tagine. The evening we went to visit the springs on a donkey which was hilarious and all arranged by our guide. As I said my partner is Moroccan and we were with his family and they really enjoyed themselves and especially the food which is so important! The Riad itself is fab - I just loved sitting in the little garden and having tea. They couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend!
Through the olive groves and down a small dirt road, we discovered Riad Dar Ouzoud. We were greeted in a lovely garden by the British owner and served mint tea. This riad is in a residential area in Ouzoud, which makes your experience visiting a small village like this even more interesting and it is just a short walk to the Ouzoud Falls. The Riad offers a very nice breakfast of fresh bread from a local oven and many tasty things to accompany it. You must request dinner and enjoy wonderful tangines or amazing vegan food. You will have beautiful fresh air every day you are there and the sounds of country life - you will sleep for 8+ hours, it's hard not to. This riad is relaxed and charming, very clean and with very helpful hosts.
This was our second day into our Moroccan Road Trip! The Hotel is closely placed near the big attraction: the amazing Ouzoud Waterfalls. The owner and his staff were all very helpful. The perfumed garden on the entrance was the perfect spot to rest a bit. The price was unbeatable. The dinner was great and we stayed there for hours listening to the collection of music available. From the traditional gwana music to my girlfriends' favourite: Chet Baker. In the end, we moved the terrace to see the stars. The night was so perfect that i ended up falling asleep in the terrace. The morning brought a symphony of birds that flew by the terrace.
We have seen many hotels and cities in Morocco and this was the hotel and the place we enjoyed the most and will definitely come back again. The owner is doing his best to ensure we are having good time. The service was really on the highest level. Very very friendly staff who speaks also english. The hotel is new and nice designed, also very clean. We loved the food they served, breakfast and a specially dinner are so delicious. All this accompanied by chilling music. We spent there 2 nights and were so relaxed. The Cascades are also close to the hotel, anyway this is a quite small village so everything is very close. We strongly recommend this hotel!
I looked at a few other places in Ouzoud before deciding on this one, and was very happy with the choice. A friendly welcome to a very nicely furnished riad, and offered a choice of rooms. It is new built, but in the traditional style. I was able to park securely in at the back, and had breakfast in the little garden filled with geraniums. Nice hot shower, clean room, comfortable bed. It is a short walk to the cascades, through an olive grove, with lots of bird life. So it made it possible to do an evening walk, and another at dawn (meeting a troop of baboons). Best place I stayed during my week in Morocco. There was some animal noises early in the morning, but this is to be expected!
