Loved this place. Stunning garden with pool. Lots of shade from the heat. Beautifully planned outside space. Bungalows around the pool are rustic but quaint and comfortable, with a decent bed, shower and sitting space. Dinner was good (vegetarian accommodated comfortably) and reasonably priced. 10-15 minutes walk to the falls which were spectacular in spring. Enough places of reasonable quality to also eat int he village. Really enjoyable visit, a few days away from the business of Marrakech.
Authentic Moroccan style Kasbah around a 15 minute walk from Ouzoud waterfalls. Rooms were rustic and bathrooms were basic. Beautiful views over the mountains, quaint garden and swimming pool. Meals were served in an annex room that lacked in character. Food and service was average.
This riad is located before you get into the Heart of Ouzoud falls district. It is about a 15 minute walk down to where the attractions/restaurants/gifts are located. This is a GOOD thing and I cannot stress that enough. When we stayed here, we parked the car, walked down to the waterfall entrance (early in the morning) and proceeded WITHOUT a guide. (BEST DECISION ever) No one hassled us because we went early and no one slowed us down. My wife and I got to enjoy the sights and enjoy them with no one else around. Priceless. Food: The riad is the place to eat. We walked around town and become annoyed very quickly. Everyone wanted to take grab of your arm and lead you to their restaurant or tell you that you need them to get to the waterfalls. The people here were pretty aggressive for your business. We decided not to make eye contact and move along looking for food on our own. After becoming tired from the hassle we returned to our hotel and enjoyed really great food! If you contact me I can even try to make a map to help navigate to the falls. Hope this helps!
Lovely place. Great views across the mountains with spectacular sunrise over a good swimming pool. Two guys running this place made us feel welcome and at home. Nice quiet place with comfy well appointed rooms. Very good dinner and breakfast. Good place to overnight and visit the falls - easy 30 minute walk from the hotel. Very clean.
Late to write comment but just found this place business card. Place was very well kept. Our room was nice and I liked the bathroom.Everything was very clean and they had a nice little pool with a nice garden. The owner was also very nice. This area was very interesting to visit because of the water falls and the walk to visit them. Thank you very much for your hospitality after the fact that we stayed there in may 2016. Lynne Dumas
We stayed here for 5 nights and it was the best part of our holiday, we can't fault this beautiful hotel. The hotel itself is a little oasis, so peaceful, beautifully designed with incredible views of the Atlas Mountains. The food was the best we ate in Morocco, especially the 'special' chicken, a traditional Moroccan dish. The breakfasts were really tasty with cake, yogurt and omelettes. The pool and bar area were always wonderfully clean and lush. Our room was a treat; spacious and decorated to an elegant Moroccan style with views over the pool and mountains. The staff at the hotel consistently exceeded our expectations. As we stayed quite a few nights, they made efforts to change the menu for us so we ate something different every night and when my partner was ill with a fever, they changed his sheets and brought us fruit to help him feel better. They allowed us to have breakfast outside next to the pool on our last couple of mornings as we had amazing weather. They were so friendly and there's even a lovely hotel dog, Martinez, who befriended lots of the guests and was great company! A tip if you are staying a few days, pay a guide to walk you from the falls to Mexican village via the valley. It'll be 2-3 hours there, the same back unless your guide can get you a taxi from the village but it's so worth it for the views and to visit the underground hamman in the Mexican village. If you can, take pens and pencils for the children in the village who will ask you for them. The village is quite remote but fascinating to see. We would return here in an instant, it was magical.
Lovely place modelled after a Moroccan fort outside of Beni Mallal. Nice pool and bar area in the gardens. Food rather average but OK. Welcoming staff and comfortable rooms. Great location for access to the Gorges in the area which are spectacular.
This is the nicest Kasbah we stayed in during our 10 day self tour of Morocco. The staff were lovely, the views incredible (we stayed in the main house, upstairs). The pool was beautiful and clean, and the food was delicious. The wifi was a bit patchy, but they try very hard with that, it's just the area is difficult to get good strength. It's a 20 minute (hot) walk down to the waterfalls but we wandered down in the morning, and then taxied back in the heat of the day. Tip: walk down one side of the falls then back up the other - both are quite different and lovely in their own ways. Also, spend time on the lower layers, away from the hustle and bustle of the main area. It's beautiful down there, and plenty of spots to stop and rest and take a drink or something to eat - and even swim if you dare! My view pic was taken from the bedroom window, I loved that view and was sad to leave it.
This was our first night in Morocco after landing in Marrakech. Very quiet, only 1 other family staying. We had a bungalow by the pool which was quite adequate for a night, a light salad and fries for dinner and standard breakfast. We didn't go into the main building other than to reception. The best feature was the pool - a really welcome treat after UK weather!
We stayed in one of the bungalows in the Kasbah for two nights. The Kasbah itself is a twenty minute walk from the waterfalls which are worth a visit. The kasbah has a beautiful view of the scenery and is very calm and tranquil. The rooms were basic but clean and have very powerful showers. The breakfasts and evening food were both delicious and we were able to eat outside by the pool in the evenings which was lovely. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in exploring Ouzoud.
