I made a booking here for 2 nights accommodation. I subsequently cancelled this for free. However 25 days later my bank account was debited for the accommodation. Be aware of making bookings through booking.com. Check your bank accounts.

After researching accommodation options we settled on Split Point Cottages as they were at least half the price of everywhere else so our expectations were in line with that. Pros: spacious, quiet, easy to find, cool inside (rammed earth, no air con), tennis courts, table tennis and bikes for the kids to use. Comfy beds and excellent hot water and pressure. Cons: Mosquitoes!! There are gaps between the rammed earth walls and the plaster ceiling so we were eaten alive each night, despite spraying ourselves, stuffing the gaps with foil and lighting mozzie coils outside. Little things like not enough dishwashing liquid or toilet paper for our stay were disappointing and all the facilities/equipment are old and rundown. There is no dishwasher and only one fan provided for 2 bedrooms. The laundry room is communal and has a washer and dryer that is free to use. TV reception is dodgy, dropping out and disappearing altogether on occasion. Good location, minutes drive to the beaches/shops, Aireys Fish n Chips the night we arrived was close by to pick up and delicious.

The cottages are located a fair distance from Aireys Inlet in a bush setting. There are tennis courts, barbeques and a spa available, firewood is at the door step. The cottage we stayed in was clean but is dated with some repair works required. The kitchen has enough accessories to be useful. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and pressure was good. Outside areas need a bit of TLC. Our unit BBQ appeared to have not been cleaned for a while. I would advise to arrive during the day as access to parking spaces is tight. If you are energetic you can walk to Aireys Inlet for restaurants and hotel but most people would prefer to drive.

Cute, cosy cottage, lovely at this time of year (July). Could use a bit of a revamp as it is looking a bit dated, a coat of paint would really freshen it up. Kitchen is fairly new though and bathroom is also modern. The "non-stick" frypan should be replaced but fortunately an electric fryer was also provided. There was a line of cobwebs (and spiders) along the ceiling near the wood fire heater, which can be expected in this environment, but it wouldn't take much for the cleaning crew to dust the area. I felt that the going rate is a bit steep for what you get (overall), but maybe that's the standard for Airey's Inlet (?). I picked SPC because it is dog friendly (Cottage D only), however ad didn't specify that dogs welcome in the dog run only. Still, the setting was absolutely lovely, perfect if you want to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle, and my elderly terriers enjoyed exploring the bush setting. Firewood was provided, which was very considerate.

My wife and I decided to spend 3 nights here on ANZAC weekend. We arrived after dark and had trouble trying to find where to park our car as there was very little lighting outside, and the one light that was outside the unit, was behind a huge tree so it was no good at all. Once inside, the unit was very clean and inviting. The rammed earth walls are great, our unit even had a shell embedded in the wall which was suitable considering where the units are. The beds are very comfy and there were plenty of towels, and the water pressure is fantastic. We went to use the bbq outside our unit and when I owned the lid, I saw that it wasn't clean. There was old fat on the tray and bits of old dried meat in the grill. Needless to say I closed the lid and cooked our food in the fry pan inside. The towel rail in the unit we were in (unit 3) needs fixing as it is falling off the wall. Also, the batteries in the remote control for the tv were flat. I know it sounds trivial, but it's one of those things that should be checked. Apart from a couple of little things, w had a great time during our stay there. It's cost to the shops and a great pub. The only thing that no-one has control over is the weather, which when we stayed was pretty crappy, but that's no-ones fault.

Staying here for a few nights. Comfortable and clean with great shower pressure. We did arrive around 8pm and it would be good if some outside lighting was installed as it was pitch black so had to use the mobile phone as a torch to find the front door. The road outside is badly corrugated....get the Council in to grade it. Apart from that...a nice place to stay.

2 bedroom cottage was perfect for our stay. Quiet, bush land setting. Easy access to Great Ocean Road. Picturesque Split Point Lighthouse a short drive away. The fire was perfect. Well equipped laundry room. Didn't get to take advantage of all the activities (free bikes, spa, tennis court, etc) Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely bush location. The cabins have all the facilities you need; stocked kitchen, comfy beds, adequate linen, woodfire (and plenty of wood), outdoor furniture, BBQ, car parking space etc. The cabins are secluded enough to be private if you're wanting a more intimate space, but close enough if you're in a group to commune together.

Very comfortable and spacious cottages with additional facilities of Tennis Court, Spa Pool and bikes. Lovely quiet setting and close enough to town if you wanted to walk. (about 1km to shops, 2km to Brewery / pub)

We rented a one bedroom cottage but when we arrived we actually had a two bedroom cottage. It had a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, hotplates and oven. The bed was a king size bed and the mattress was firm. Spotlessly clean and it had a wood fire with wood and kindling supplied. Also matches and firelighters were there as well. There was a little secure area if you were travelling with your dog complete with kennel and hessian bed off the ground. A private outdoor area with your own bbq was also supplied. There was a full size tennis court, hot tub (only open between 4 and 9pm) and another communal bbq area. they also supplied bikes & helmets if you wanted to go for a bike ride. This was all situated about 10 mins walk from the mail town centre of Aireys inlet.
