we enjoyed our time there...breakfast was great, staff very friendly and very weel informed. Rooms nice and clean, just the carpet in the dining room needs to get changed sooner or later.
A very ugly concrete block of the seventies in a nice park in a hill with beautiful views. Rooms are small and without any comfort as is breakfast. WiFi was rather good. Parking is free which is necessary as you can’t get there without a car.
Hotel is nice, beautiful view Breakfast is great Reception could be better (long check in time and information not correct)
big hotel, further away from Koblenz, but located in a very beautiful place. View from our room (9th floor) was amazing , nature is gorgeous there. Breakfast was nice and with enough variety, but be there early, it can be very crowded! Room was a bit outdated, carpet had stains, was old and ruined Beds are horrible.. matrasses need to be replaced urgently Reception crew was barely speaking English, and all our questions (in English) were answered in German. Bad luck for us, there was a fire alert at 22:30 that evening, and hundreds of persons were waiting outside for an hour without any update or information.
check in took 20 min... the reception personnel were not very friendly. The room although nice was too warm during the night (we didn't have the heating on). We ate at the bar restaurant which was really nice, and the people working in the bar were very nice and professional.
This hotel is pretty average , in the nice sense . The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are very sweet and accommodating. I really liked the breakfasts and dinners , there's a nice selection of food available . Cooked breakfast buffet , a variation of yogurts, fruit , dried fruit, seeds , berries , breads, cakes , meats, cheeses and juice . A few little cons - no kettle or fridge in the rooms which I would expect of a 4 star hotel . We also booked a double room but got two twin beds pushed together, and walls are paper thin. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a mystery door which I suspect lead directly into the neighbouring room. Unfortunately we had an argumentative pair next to us and heard absolutely everything from the yelling to the pee pee's and farts .
The rooms are small (even the suites which my kids were staying in). The hotel is dated and in need of a refurb. No air con which would be okay as the windows allow to be opened for fresh air. The only problem being that our room was on the second floor basically over the kitchen so there was constant (and I mean constant) loud banging and noises until late in the evening and then starting early again in the morning. The staff were all lovely and so is the location. The breakfast is typical German. Not what I like but plenty of food. No decent coffee but I expect that in Germany! No fridge or kettle in the rooms. I thought this hotel would be similar standard to Novotels and other larger chains I regularly stay in but sadly it wasn't so I wouldn't book there again.
Overall it was a good hotel, good service, good food, nice rooms. The park at the hotel was ready beautifull and there where nice roads to take a walk. We will be back again some day!
This was a famous hotel many years ago but everything feels a bit worn-out now. Nevertheless it's still a great location to visit the Koblenz area. The rooms are a bit outdated as is the bathroom but everything is still functional. Breakfast though is great. A massive buffet with plenty of choice, fresh fruit etc. All things considered still good value for money.
Excellent hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer as we didn't have time to explore the area around the hotel. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
