First things first - i created a youtube video of my stay, username 007inDubai the video is Oberoi at the Taj Mahal. Where to start? The service, the service simply is the best I have EVER experienced, and bearing in mind the ridiculous luxury hotels around the world i have often frequented this is beyond compare. It is the warmth and humility of the staff, the attention to detail, how everyone, without exception remembered my name, the management had researched before my stay, had prepared Veg and None Veg options for my late night arrival staying up until 3am to make sure I was settled in and happy. The wonderful wonderful staff at every corner of this hotel simply bring me such delight when i recall the experience. They obviously helped me with my Taj Mahal visit, and photography, and provided an amazing chauffeur service to the airport. (abeit a little expensive) But it was in the minor details where this hotel hit a home run. My honest advice, if you can afford this hotel, dont cut corners, book it! you will be so happy with your decision once you arrive.
The perfect springboard for visiting the Taj Mahal, with free shuttle service to/from the Taj entrance. This hotel nestles within manicured grounds, just paces away from the frantic hustle and bustle of Agra’s busy thoroughfare, with rooms looking out towards the magnificent monument. On a clear day, wistfully gazing out onto the Taj Mahal from your room balcony would have been a delightful experience, unfortunately we were plagued with haze during our stay, and the grand monument was barely visible, if at all. Our room was nice with (as mentioned) great views on a clear day. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel itself is very pleasant, being built fairly recently by comparison to the other places we have stayed (year 2000), and architecturally it is in keeping with the neighbourhood. It is modern, clean and comfortable, and the staff are very helpful, polite and attentive, although the service at breakfast was not as efficient nor as effective as the other hotels we have been too. But this was a minor point, and hotel management were keen to elicit this feedback from us, and were very apologetic. We enjoyed a lunch and dinner at the Bellevue restaurant, which has been reviewed separately. All in all, a very pleasant stay ...
We were not guests of the hotel, so we did not get to eat outside with the view on the Taj Mahal but you get to see it when you enter the hotel. The hotel is exquisite (outdoors and indoors), amazing smells, staff is so nicely dress, smiling and nice you want to hug them. Food is amazing! I highly recommend going there even if you're not a hotel guest!
If you want a dream come true.... this is the place. My room with the Taj Mahal view...the best idea to spend Christmas here! Superb attention! Indian cuisine just amazing if you want a taste of North and South India. Breakfast buffet also very complete. Worth to have the Taj only at steps from Hotel.
We got an exceptional service from every single person, throughout our stay. I am truly impressed by the ability of the hotel management to inculcate this culture of client and making the client feel unique. That`s one true leadership achievement. We do not know when we are going back but we will.
Well if you want to do it in style this is the only possible place to come. We didn’t stay there. But we ate in the Esphahan restaurant. Delicious but one meal cost the same as three nights at our hotel opposite and we didn’t drink!
Went with our family and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and the grounds are beautiful. Our room had a view of the Taj Mahal, however the fog/smog of India in the winter time kind of put a damper on the atmosphere of being outside. Just bad luck, but you’ll have clearer views and better air quality throughout all of India in the Spring and Summer.
This was just perfect! We had two nights with a full day sight seeing around the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. Our dining experience of Indian food was made extra special with a tour of the Kitchens by head chef Mayank Bishnoi. All around the hotel the staff were very attentive, friendly, warm and generous with their service and time. Worth every cent!
I had the pleasure of staying at 2 Oberoi properties on my recent trip to India. The Amarvilas was the first and the Rajvilas in Jaipur the second. I mention both hotels because quite honestly, I thought we simply got lucky with the wonderful, caring and superbly attentive staff at the Amarvilas and never thought it would be repeated at the Rajvillas. The fact that both were better than PERFECT is a true testament to this brand. While at the Amarvilas, we celebrated my birthday and the staff went over the top with decorating the room, our balcony and no less than 6 cakes. I was overwhelmed! It was honestly the best birthday I've ever had. And lets not forget the view... Waking up each day to the sight of the gorgeous Taj Mahal was just surreal. It was truly one of those experiences that I shall never forget, made even better by the staff at the Amarvilas. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all you did to make our stay so wonderful! My wife and I stayed at the Oberoi last week and had an incredible experience. the rooms have a view to the Taj, they take you with a golf cart right up to the gate and wait for you to come out. It's definitely worth the expense.
