Great hospitality!Brilliant experience! The hotel is located in a very convenient area for tourists. The staff was patient and attended to all the needs of the guests. The service was prompt. Special mention to Chef Rajvardhan for his service.
Excellent place to stay. Efficient & extremely clean & professional. The Coffee shop buffet was just superb! The staff there were really attentive and courteous. The gym equipment was in great condition. Overall a fabulous experience.
This hotel is over and above 5 star level. The staff from reception to the waiting staff to the chefs have incredible customer service that they deliver with such friendliness. At breakfast the expert South Indian chef, Rakesh, kindly made us samples to try to help us decide on the dishes we may like. He did this off his own back which is outstanding customer service. The waiters were so attentive to our needs. The reception staff would put down the phone to ask what your query was instead of leaving you standing. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, great menu, beautiful sized rooms. Perfect in every way. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel so welcome and made our stay so memorable in good ways. The pool area was stunning also.
Great location for viewing the Taj Mahal. Walking distance. Nice clean large room. good breakfast - serving staff fantastic - ideal for flying visit to Agra. Would recommend for a flying visit to the Taj Mahal and longer.
We stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a Golden Triangle tour. It's in a very good location for visiting the Taj Mahal. Check was quick and the staff were friendly. We were given a complimentary room upgrade at check in and the room was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. We didn't see too much of the hotel as we were out sightseeing for most of the time but there is a nice bar/lounge area close to reception. We ordered room service as we arrived back to the hotel late and the food was very nice. We paid extra for breakfast the following day which was very good. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay again.
This hotel was a nice pic as it's walkable to the Taj. But that walk is loaded with drug addicts, beggers, and pick pockets. I hated Agra and thought the Taj was overrated but this little spot did its part. The hotel was cheap, clean, and accessible. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I wouldn't recommend Agra but is recommend this hotel.
a radisson is a radisson, is a radisson... i stayed for two nights in single room. wonderful mattress and pillows. clean and conveniently located. it has a wine bar and wonderful spa services ( i didnt try them myself but fellow travellers who did were very pleased ). i had a problem with key card .. not their fault and they were prompt to help me and fix the problem. the food selection is satisfying for the non eating spicy food as well. very polite staff. there is a shopping arcade in hotel with number of stores selling souvenirs and clothes. the people who work there come out of the store to greet you and persuade you to go in. very polite though.free wifi everywhere and good signal.they have an astronomer/ palm reader at lobby ( for a fee of course ). good cable tv.
Stayed at this Radisson property in Agra. The hotel has a great location and is very near from the Taj Mahal itself. As you pull in from the driveway to the lobby drop off area, one doesn't know what to expect, it looks like any other hotel. However, when we were greeted by a tall and hefty doorman, it made all the difference. We knew we had made the right decision of staying here in Agra. The lobby was quite impressive with a modern contemporary ambience and yet with an Indian twist to it. The gentleman who checked us in did a great job and really made us feel welcome and at ease. We had been assigned a twin bed room although we had requested for a king bed. But the staff quickly resolved this issue. The room was of a good decent size and a good interior decor. The bed was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was a nice with a standing shower. But most importantly for us, it was clean and well maintained. However, the view from that room was not great. It was overlooking the driveway through which we had entered the property earlier. The first morning of breakfast at the coffeehouse was fantastic. The staff were at their best in terms of service. Very polite and attentive. The breakfast spread had good varieties both Indian and Western options to choose from. The cold coffee and juices which were in the dispensers were completely diluted because of the ice put in them. But when we informed the staff they got us a strong cold coffee made from the kitchen. It was delicious. The following morning, it was a different scene for breakfast. The coffeehouse was a bit packed as compared to the previous day. Staff were busy bussing tables and seating guests. Hence one could notice the difference in the service. Also, it looked a little understaffed. There was no more the personal touch and service we had received just a day earlier. There was a caucasian couple having breakfast and it could be observed that the staff were hovering around their table. It was not just us who were ignored, but some other tables which were occupied by locals. Furthermore, the caucasian gentleman asked the restaurant staff to switch off the Indian instrumental music which was being played, saying it was irritating him and he disliked it. And guess what, the piped music was turned off. We encountered the same couple at check out and when the receptionist asked them about the stay, the gentleman kept on lamenting about the piped Indian music in the public areas. I do understand that Carlson-Rezidor Hotel Group is an international chain headquartered in US and Europe, however this particular property is based in the historical city of Agra. Guests from all over come to visit India and in this case Agra because they are intrigued and curious about our rich cultural heritage, diversity and fine arts. So instead of just succumbing to the unappreciative demands from random guest, it would be better that the hotel staff explains the values and richness of our culture which the tourists have clearly missed out on in their journey through India. As a fellow hotelier, I too understand that guest requests and demands are to be met at all times. However, it is also important to understand and distinguish which requests are to be adhered to. So a humble request to the Management at Radisson Blu Agra Taj East Gate to educate and train their employees to ignite their cultural identity and national pride. Also, I had informed the Front Desk Reception that I had lost my phone on the night of my check-in. Had informed them that I was not sure if it was in the hotel or outside. The gentleman took down the details, I believe the Duty Manager also approached and informed that they would check the CCTV footage and update me. However, even at check out no staff mentioned anything to me about it. I am not sure what this hotel's policy is on Lost&Found, but I feel it's a basic courtesy to at least inform the person if its a yes or a no. Our stay at this hotel was comfortable, and would be recommending this property to anyone who wishes to visit the Taj Mahal.
Wonderful hotel and good location. Very nice and professional staff, the rooms are fantastic! Beds are extremely good and smooth, the swimming pool is very pleasant, just a fabulous hotel! Go there with no hesitation!
It was clean. It is a large impersonal hotel but it does the job if all you need is a clean bed and good nights sleep. It is in a quite area. The view of the taj is present but you won't look at it admiring from here. staff are pleasant. Location is fine your getting a cab or driver any time you move so its not very important.
