We stayed in a Mughal room, the bathroom was tiered and needed renovation. This was our seventh hotel this trip and the only hotel that wanted to charge for internet access. When I queried this with reception they stated that free internet was only provided if you booked direct through the hotel or via Starwood, our SPG membership did not count. So any guest who is booked by an agent is treated as inferior. Thank you, totally unacceptable in this day and age. Our tour guide had a problem, that morning the hotel refused to let him park his bike in the hotel grounds and said his guests should meet him at the gate. After a lengthy discussion he was finally allowed to meet us in the lobby. This exclusion was explained as a senior management decision. Maybe the management team needs further training in customer care. On the positive side the grounds are good and we enjoyed the all day restaurant for breakfast and an evening buffet.
We stayed here with my family of four while visiting India and seeing the Taj. We had two rooms connecting - one with two single beds and one with a queen. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was friendly. We were there for Dewali and they brought us flowers and left gifts on the kids' beds that night. The kids loved it! We would recommend.
As soon as we entered the hotel it's as usual busy as always, all counters were busy fortunately we are lucky enough to check in and after that all was a surprise as everything was planned by my wife and was superbly arranged by dheeraj and a special friend of my wife. We went to peshwari to dine and the food and service was as per the standards... As it was a special and a sudden trip arranged by wife so didn't get much time to explore the property but anyways need to specially thank you dheeraj and my wife's friend for making my memorable.
1. The hotel is amazing - the jewel of Agra, you could not go wrong with ITC Mughal 2. The staff are some of the most amazing people I have ever met on my journey in India 3. The food at the restaurants is pretty good, granted that the variety isn't great but the kitchen does it very best to meet the guests' requests 4. (This is the down-er) You have to pay extra for Wifi In all honesty, there is little I dislike about the ITC Mughal, in fact, the trip was next to perfect, I enjoyed every bit of my stay in Agra thanks to the ITC Mughal. Especially being one of the most iconic landmarks in Agra, everyone knew of it and Auto/Cab drivers had no excuse to not know of its existence. However, the one thing that was a real turn-off was the fact that I had to pay extra for Wifi especially since this is a 5-star hotel and guests are already paying above-market rates just to stay at the hotel. I recall the charge for Wifi to be idiotic 300-odd rupees per day which is not very much, however, it is what it is, an idiotic charge. That said, the hotel is still stunning, sprawling gardens, exclusive suites, and areas for premier guests and a fully-equipped gym. The rooms are clean and tidy with locally branded amenities, there seems to be a series of propagandistic ITC commercials that reiterate the ICT brand and their host of services/products from Prawns to Chocolates to clothes which is a fresh experience for me - all the more to scrutinize. Business structure of the hotel is built for revenue of course, but the markups are quite distinct and it might be just short of daylight robbery considering the quotes I got for a transfer from the hotel to the Agra Cantt railway station to be 450 Rupees for a hired car and 12,000 Rupees for an airport transfer from ITC Mughal to Delhi Airport. The business needs to be more conscious of technological advances and recommend the best for their guests eg. taking advantage of the Ola app or suggesting cost-effective alternatives. Keep the hotel's service open but always provide alternatives to show that relativeness that guests care about.
Our room was a little out dated and in need of renovation. The entrance, reception and dinning areas are just beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff and it also has a viewpoint where you can see the Taj Mahal (on a clear day).
I only spent a short time in the hotel because we had a quick trip in Agra. However, the room was very nice, clean, and in good condition. The breakfast options were very good - I also ate at the Indian restaurant in the hotel - excellent food. It was very easy to get a driver for a tour of the Agra sites. All in all, a nice stay. If I make it back to Agra, I'd be happy to spend more time in the hotel.
We arrived after a long drive and was greeted by Monica - she is lovely and so helpful - we went out in the late afternoon and returned to find our room covered in rose petals and a lovely personal card from her - and it just made our stay perfect - thank you 5 stars to you. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable - food very tasty and service very good. The pool area was lovely and there is a seating area at the top of the hotel to relax and enjoy the stunning view of the Taj Mahal but you had to be careful of the monkeys as they could be very vicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you
This beautiful hotel is an oasis on a very crazy town. It has magnificent restaurants, bars, spa (wife had a great time), breakfast. Rooms, at least ours was great, classic and elegant, but has minor details of maintenance that need to be address, I believe in many rooms but nothing to complain. Staff is fantastic and always helpful. The value for money on this hotel, on my experience was fantastic, one of the best I can remember and on our trip, was the best. ITC is an excellent chain.
This is well positioned for the Taj Mahal and a very authentic Indian hotel. On a clear day the Taj can be seen from the hotel's roof top observatory but some distance. Thanks Very clean, good pool, nice but small bar and a choice of two restaurants. The wifi costs approx £4 for 24 hrs for up to 4 devices but functions well. The main resturant buffet is good quality on reasonably costed. Breakfast is very good with lots of choice. The alcohol is expensive, bottle of local wine £55, double G&T £19 so chose the type of gin carefully and beer £9 bottle all including taxes. Good and more economic resturant immediately opposite the hotel. The specialist restaurant the 'Peshawri' is excellent quality, you eat everything with Indian breads but it is exceptionally costly, £30/course. The staff are very helpful - enjoyed the stay except for the high cost of drinks.
A large, well appointed hotel, which offers excellent facilities and very comfortable accommodation. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite, which was superb! The variety of cuisine on offer in the restaurants was very good and the service we experienced was generally very good, although service in the atrium bar was slow. The hotel has a very impressive spa and extensive, attractive gardens.
