The Riad is perfectly clean and well maintained with a beautiful rooftop terrace. Caroline and Didier were amazing and always happy to help me. I have spent a very memorable time at this place and certainly look forward to coming back again! :)
We came across this hotel by chance and it turn out well. Hotel has great atmosphere as well as enough space to feel comfortable. Rooms are decorated with a romantic theme. The host is more than accommodating and has a unique french charm. Dining can be found on the top level of the building which is an open air terrace with a very natural feel. All in all a great experience I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Agadir.
Didier is a super friendly host, my gf and I arrived very early at 8am but he let us in before the checkin time. He's been very helpful giving us tipq and recommanded us good places to visit in Agadir. We would definitely come straight to Riad des Chtis if we were to come back to Agadir
We stayed in this very pleasant riad for a week. Very good value. We would certainly consider staying here again if in Agadir. We had a nice room which was cleaned daily and we were also given fresh towels on a daily basis. We liked the fact that we were a little away from the main tourist area and were living amongst the locals. Very safe feel to the area and a nice walk past the police station through the park towards the more touristy area. The owner is a very friendly, affable character who always seems cheerful and accomodating. The breakfasts were okay but would it be possible to have a little more variety? Perhaps a fruit salad could be offered every other day? Perhaps toast to go with the lovely home made jams? Many thanks.
While it would be easy to write a poor review, the ambience, the area, the general poverty etc it would not be fair. Les Chtis is transformed by Didier from dull backstreet hotel to a comfortable base from which to explore Agadir with almost everywhere easily accessible on foot. There are posh hotels and restaurants along the beach, easily affordable. Our most expensive meal at a classic French restaurant (Le scampi) was under£40 while tagine cooking at Nada (do go there, £1 by taxi) or kebabs at the local butchers might leave change from £10. For fish lunch at the souk @£1 for sardines or £3 for shrimp calamari or assorted platters are great. Similar food and prices are available at the fish harbour restaurants but the environment of smoke, dirt and flies is appalling so best avoided.
We highly reccomend this Riad. Everything you need to ask yourself is there: restaurants trips laundry literally everything. A warm welcome with local tips since we arrived by the owners, an amazing decor of the entire riad and especially our room, a beautiful terrace where a deliciois breakfast was served. Having been around agadir and its hotels, this is the best we ve been to and enjoyed the most. It is something to really not miss.
Where do I begin? The cockroach, the toxic toilet, the hotel owner, the dusty room, the rock hard pillows, the terrible decor? Never have I ever experienced such terrible sleeping conditions. Firstly, the guy that owns the hotel comes to greet you with his fake smiles and suffocates you with small talk every morning over breakfast. Watches you eat your breakfast. He can’t just leave you alone; constantly reminded you need to pay a fee at the end of your visit. That would be ok had the living conditions been acceptable. The room was so dusty I was sneezing all night and the toilet stank so bad of diarrhea that I couldn’t breathe. I could not sleep for a week. Then, when things couldn’t get worse, I heard something scuttling around at night. A cockroach. Several of them. Of course, nothing was done about this when I let the hotel owner know. An absolute shambles. The decor of the room is so ugly and out dated I was glad to be out of there. The surrounding area of the hotel was trash. Literally out of the tourist area and a long 30 minute walk to the beach. I ate out at one of the restaurants near the hotel and it made me feel sick. Toxic. And the breakfast at the riad was the same thing every morning. Overall a night mare and horrific experience that I’m so traumatized I’m trying to forget about. On top of that it as very expensive
Best breakfast ever! And also, managers and people in riad were all very kind and capable people speaking English and French fluently. We received even a map of Agadir with the most important points. There was awesome atmosphere, and also from practical point of view, it has a good location - it was very easy to get to the beaches and other important places and facilities. Riad itself was well-maintained and beautiful. We truly enjoyed our time being there.
I'm not sure what I can add to all the glowing reviews that can be found here. The Riad is located a 15 minute walk from the main tourist zone of Agadir. Didier was an exceptionally congenial host. Always willing to share his experience and information about the region. The Riad itself is simple , tastefully decorated and spotless clean. It is also located 10 minutes on foot from the Souk El Had which is not to be missed. Les Chtis d'Agadir will besoin Our home away from home next time we are in Agadir.
Absolutely lovely place, great breakfast, comfy room (even one of the smaller ones), and the host is just super-super kind. As the first place to stay in Morocco, it established our good mood for the whole trip. We took a taxi there, which might be useful, but it's not too difficult to find. It's also neat and clean... as I said: really good place. Would recommend.
