My last day in Addis was the 1 st May Most of the attractions and shops were closed so I decided to have a drink at the Sheraton I was seduced by the pool and paid for the day pass 550 BIR , worth it The pool is heated, there is a nice garden around with sunbeds and a nice pool bar and restaurant It s on this luxury ambiance that I ended up my trip The hotel is huge there is some nice shops and one good bakery !

This is a luxury hotel and it has the pricing to match so you know what you pay for. The whole area is a pleasant secluded hideaway from the bustling town with beautiful rose gardens, a nice poolarea, lots of shops and restaurants and excellent and attentive staff everywhere (doormen, checkin, elevator, restaurants staff, all were pleasant and well trained). The rooms are spacious and the beds are very very comfortable. Breakfast buffet is superb, with freshly prepared eggs and I love that little cucumber/carrot/ginger shot they offer to kick-start your day. One morning we had to get up at 5am and we were pleasantly surprised by a lovely prepared breakfast corner in the lobby for early birds with fresh croissants and pastry, coffee, tea and juice.

We stayed twice, at the start and end of a tour of Ethiopia. This is a very nice European style hotel with top notch service. The best part was the availability of early check in. Most international flights arrive early in the morning so early check in is really appreciated. But the prices are high--$6 pepsi from the mini bar. and $1 a minute telephone calls. We ate breakfasts and dinners in the buffet restaurant. There is a large selection most of it good. The best bet is the cook to order table for omelets for breakfast and what ever they are cooking for dinner.

The hotel is gorgeous, however the service wasn't great and the price is just insane. View from The hotel is pretty amazing and the heated pool was great too. Not included with the room, but affordable.

We booked two rooms and stayed for one night at this hotel while we were on transit through Addis Ababa. The hotel sits on a large gated plot of land with well maintained landscape and parking areas. The building which is built as a luxury hotel is not highrise and covers a wide area. The hotel has a beautiful and spacious lobby with an attached coffee shop. There is a fountain and water yard in the back and a big outdoor swimming pool. The hotel has several restaurants and bars; some of them are social gathering places for the expatriates and the city elite. The front desk staff are professional and the check-in was flawless, despite our arrival during the early morning hours. The room is quite, well appointed and clean with many amenities. The bathroom is average size. The hotel is one of the luxurious hotels in Addis Ababa, but considering the rates we paid it seems a bit pricey for the quality and services offered. Similar luxury and services can be obtained in a city like Dubai for half or one third the price we paid.

I enjoyed there very much. And the best part of it was the air,it was great and also it was not that much noisy. The food was great and also the Ethiopian food called teff was so nice. And I loved the spa,but with no gym,it's hard. But I love which I spent my time there...

I stayed 3 days in the Sheraton hotel in Addis Ababa and it's unlike any other Sheraton I've stayed in. From the first time you enter the front gate and see the police sitting off to the side with their AK-47, you realize this is a relative island of luxury in a sea of poverty. The hotel seems to have a lot of security people, including government security people. When I went for a walk on their small jogging trail, two of the hotel employees questioned if I was staying in the hotel. One of them wanted me to show him my hotel key to prove I was staying there. This hadn't happened in any other luxury hotel I stayed in on 3 different continents. This is a resort and it has a pool that's popular with families since you'll hear kids playing and swimming in the pool during the day. At night, you'll hear something else, the loud music from the band and night club until late into the night. My room was on the 2nd floor of the west wing of the U-shaped hotel and it was very loud every night we stayed here. If you want to sleep before midnight, you don't want to stay in this part of the hotel. There is a good Indian restaurant on the compound, but it's very expensive. This is the bet part of the hotel, but I guess I had too high expectations for this Sheraton. If you like to exercise, there is an outdoor gym with equipment under an sun roof.

This is the best hotel in Addis Ababa!! I was there for a business lounge with my company colleagues and four other guests that were in the hotel as guests. We had our lunch at the garden and we enjoyed the buffet that was more than complete with any kind of food, dessert and fruits!!! From our guests there we heard the best about the hotel, for the rooms the personnel and mostly for the facilities. Totally recommended!!

We were only there for a night after a long flight in from the USA...but the accommodations were good, food good, a solid pick! The rooms were high end by American standards with a nice king bed, cable TV and Wifi. The restaurant was very nice, great bfast buffet!

We actually didn’t stay here but use the pool twice during our three-week visit to Addis. If you’re parent with kids and just need a day with pizza and pool (and a few adult drinks)... this is definitely the spot! Enjoy.
