This was my third trip on my business. This time, I stayed in Azzeman hotel in Bole area. It is a wonderful place to stay. Good rooms, better amenities, no issue of internet, power, or water and pleasant ambiance. The staff is very helpful and always smiling to serve. It has spa attached. Indian food is not available, but chefs tried to prepare to my taste. Breakfast is continental spread. I advise visitors for stay and seminars. Mr Younos, GM was very helpful and thank him for his good support. I wish hotel management a great success.
I arrived to this hotel nearly midnight by the hotel shuttle. And was told that there’s NO room for me. They sent me to a 3 star hotel nearby instead. They then insisted me to pay the same price. Worst experience ever!
For ages I am trying to solve an issue from a previous stay with this hotel. emails are never ever answered (tried on all available addresses) and when you call them no one has any responsibilities (wonder what all the staff is for) until I was finally told to try to contact by email - ridiculous
I have not had such a bad experience with any of the hotels in Addis before discovering Azzeman Hotel! We arrived on a Sunday at 8:30pm, to find out that they did not have rooms for us, as they were overbooked, due to people overstaying. We were more than 10 people in that situation. For some of us, our organizations had already paid for the rooms, via wire transfer! They still refused to give us our rooms. They sent a bunch of people in another hotel. These people came back refusing to sleep in a dirty hotel that did not offer the same conditions as the one we already paid for. We were finally sent to Shegger Hotel for the night, where we finally got our rooms at 11pm. They promised to do everything they could to give us our rooms the next day. We came back the next day, after our conference, to find our that they still did not have any rooms for us. They sent us to another Hotel down the road, called Sapphire Hotel. We stayed the week there and were supposed to check-out on Friday morning. On Thursday evening, at 6pm, after having spent the whole day in my room, I receive a call from the Reception asking me if I was ready? They told us (again around 10 people) to pack our things and move back to Azzeman Hotel, as Sapphire Hotel was fully booked for the night! The manager of Sapphire, the manager of Azzeman and a third person came knock at my door asking me to leave my room asap to go to Azzeman Hotel. I refused to leave based on the fact that I was in my room the whole day, nobody dared calling me to give me a heads up, I was in their hotel the whole week, nobody dared telling me that they were fully booked on Thursday and that I should go back to Azzeman – a hotel I paid for but never even seen their rooms! They don’t mind moving people around like sheep when it suits them, have you already paid for your room or not. I felt treated like nothing, no consideration at all for all inconveniences we went through since we stepped into Azzeman Hotel, no respect for customers, fake apologies that are given just to make the situation move on! To them, we are just numbers and receipts that they move around, mostly when they can rent the room with a higher price to somebody else. The deals that are happening between these hotels are insane, even more during the African Union Summit! I finally refused to leave my room and checked-out as planned on Friday morning. I want to share this story to alert any travelers, meetings’ organisers, conference’s participants to avoid Azzeman Hotel and be cautious while booking. This is not because you pay for your room in advance that it will guarantee you to access it!
Clean, spacious. Responsive staff, helpful, great affordable food. Totally a great place to stay in Addis. I enjoyed my three day stay in a beautiful room with nice view and respectful staff. I will stay again
For 70 USD/night (including breakfast) you can get a clean room and bathroom in a 2 years old hotel with restaurant and spa. A bit noisy for the Habesha 2000 close turistic music show. Bring your earplugs! Food acceptable at restaurant, breakfast acceptable but without prepackaged yogurt. In case you can have nice coffee breakfast at the Coffee garden just 30 meters on the right side of the entrance. Enjoy!
Great new modern hotel will all the amenities. Food was excellently prepared and high quality. Prepared to go the extra mile to make clients happy and would certainly consider staying here on my next visit to Addis Ababa. Recommended.
I visited this hotel twice in April 18 and Oct and found excellent hotel due to proper management from Mr Yonas who is always ready to solve any issue The rooms are clean and tidy and hot water is always available Nice breakfast choices including egg station Highly recommended to choose
That was a really nice hotel, comparing to others in Ethiopia: - Modern hotel - Good kitchen and awesome breakfast - Working (!) WiFi in rooms, not only in a lobby - Currency exchange in lobby which was really convenient - Cozy beds Cons: - Missing nets on windows, so mosquitoes will 100% be in the room unless you kill them - No AC, so had to open window - as result mosquitoes were right there - Very friendly personnel Also, when walking, be careful - some one were robbed by young gang. Just be cautious.
My first trip into Africa took me to Ethiopia. I stayed in hotel Azzeman the whole week. I had great meals from breakfast to dinner. My personal favorite was the Beef tibs with injera. A very tasty local beer named Habesha accompanied every dinner. The friendly hotel staff even engineered a plug for me to charge my laptop. I would not hesitate to stay at Azzeman again on my next trip. Well done!!
