The electric sockets sizzled and lights blinked every time I plugged anything in. Access to the beach is difficult and requires scheduling with staff therefore returning from the beach requires navigating other locations or businesses to get to the road. The spa wasn’t operating. The place is very clean and staff are kind but their claim the place was renovated within 5 years was a misrepresentation or else they may mean “upgraded.”

Frankly, I did not like anything about my stay at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. The property is poorly maintained and need remodeling. All around the property I immediately noticed worned tables, paint peeling, and broken or old equipment. My room had bugs which I reported. My shower was an old fashioned tub shower. I recommend the closing of the hotel for a major remodel. I moved to the La Babadi Beach Hotel for the remainer of my stay.

The hotel itself is very tired and definitely not the star rating you give it. The hotel is lacking investment and management who train newer staff. That said, there are some members of staff who are exceptional and made the stay really enjoyable.
