I felt so comfortable here while on a business trip, a rather stressful one. The hotel surrounds you with an oasis of beauty from the landscaping to the crisp sparkle of the pool. And I felt completely at ease setting up shop in the cafe/bar for hours. The staff were unobtrusively attentive, a welcome change from some other establishments in the city. Well worth it!
Kempinski has maintained a fantastic tradition of excellence, serenity, elegance and first class hospitality. I have had great encounters with their amazing staff (Nadia, Isaac, Peacock, Catherine, Fusena, Victoria... the list is endless). Clearly, they have a superb customer centric culture. Need to specially mention Jennifer’s (guest relations) professionalism, patience and fine attention to detail. She ensured I left ‘nothing on the table’ in terms of the benefits I had accrued as a Kempinski Discovery member. She’s top notch. Glad to see hospitality take its pride of place in the African continent. Will definitely be back again. Emmanuel
Centrally situated close to many business and government offices, the hotel is a gem! It is elegant and welcoming with staff professionally trained to provide prompt and exceptional service to please the guest. You are made to feel at home and the welcome back is always heart warming, especially by the manager Ahmed Akabawy and Kwame at the reception. The décor is beautiful drawing on local culture and blending it with luxury, and the facilities exude functionality and elegance. The pool is very nice, the gym is great and they have a very nice art exhibit in the hotel. The food is delicious and the service is extremely professional. I have stayed at other hotels in Ghana and Kempinski is my favorite hotel in Accra. I highly recommend it.
What a great surprise, in the middle of West Africa I found a very high quality hotel at reasonable price Personal highly trained and efficient at all stages. Particular attention to the ladies in red especially jenifer for her assistance and kindness I highly recommend this hotel to demanding guests
Ok it’s clean and comfortable but room doesn’t feel like you are in Africa. Decoration is very neutral and can find it like in many developed cities. So this is good for business as I was there for that but doesn’t leave me a feeling wanna to come back. The breakfast is so far from your room, the hotel is very big and it take a while and complex to go there. Choice of breakfast is reasonable. In dining room is tasteless.
Housekeeping and the Executive Lounge are the outstanding service features. I have not met a single housekeeping staff on all floors who do not greet the guest. Quite impressive. The room telephone has no instructions to deal and delete messages. After 4 house keeping staff, 1 engineer and the operators help, it remains impossible to delete the message light. The 3rd floor breakfast restaurant has no shades or curtains. Guests are blinded by the sun I fall. Room 716 - Executive Floor.
Wonderful 4 nights at the Kempinski in Accra. Beautiful decor, amazing food, gorgeous city views, excellent service especially housekeeping (well done Josephine and Lydia). I will definitely be coming back.
Richard Rodrigues at the bar makes the best Chapman outside of Nigeria and its the best one in all the hotel and bars in Ghana. He and his team at the bar make everyone feel so comfortable and his joy at service is a wonder! Keep it up!
I had a very pleasant stay. it is such a lovely hotel with impeccable style. The staff are very helpful and friendly especially John(at the restaurant) and Gifty (from house keeping). I will definitely be back.
We stayed at the Kempinski for the third time now and it's a very well run hotel. We were particularly impressed by how quickly and easily they can arrange transport for you with the taxi operator, Yoks. We had drivers for two days who were very good. The breakfast buffet has quite a lot of local food and is a bit limiting for the traditional European taste. The coffee is also pretty awful - filter or cappuccino. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. It's a pity that they don't have coffee machines with pods in the room. The instant coffee with a kettle isn't in keeping with a hotel of this quality. Wifi works well everywhere. Getting to the breakfast area on the third floor is a bit of a hike. Not sure why the breakfast area isn't close to the lobby. Checking in and out was quick and efficient.
