i was impressed with this hotel. It seemed bright, clean and modern. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The room was a bit small but very comfortable. The TV had the best selection of English language channels of any hotel I stayed in Ghana, and the internet, though not exactly speedy, was also the best. The restaurant is very good, with a wide range of different choices. I think this hotel would get 4 stars in most countries. I am sure a lot of this is due to an efficient and dedicated management. You see the effects everywhere -- in the crisp uniforms of the staff, in the careful arrangement of table settings in the restaurant, in the precise placement of deck furniture around the pool. Those things don't happen by accident -- somebody is working hard to maintain and improve this hotel.

I stayed in the hotel for a business trip. it does not have all standards of 4 stars hotels. staffs were polite, but not so much professional. it is not a charming hotel in Africa. rooms are not so much big.

Great staff - really friendly and helpful. Gave great directions and advice about local market and my intended purchases. Central location which is good for getting everywhere. Rooms quiet and comfortable but since taking over from Novotel, the hotel is beginning to suffer a little from a lack of maintenance (blocked sinks and showers, carpets getting very worn etc, swimming pool losing a lot of tiles) Unpretentious hotel but with great service - all staff are super friendly and can’t do enough for you. Had a local meal there of baked fried chicken and jolaff rice which was freshly cooked a delicious and nicely presented. Restaurant was lovely, very elegantly laid out. I liked the fact that it was quiet and comfortable, plus the location was great for me. I hope they will be able to continue to reinvest with some upkeep; that’s the only thing that needs a bit of attention.

The room was not very large, but very well stocked. There is also an android phone in the room that is equipped with free internet and international calling. There is a mini fridge but no microwave, and mini bar is complimentary. The toilet is separate from the shower room. The food in the hotel restaurant was good and the bar area has live music. There are two small shops in the hotel lobby area and there is adequate security patrolling the exterior and interior of the hotel. The pool and pool area and very clean and relaxing. All hotel staff were very kind and efficient. There was a leak in our room’s air conditioner, and it was completely repaired in 10 minutes.

Where does one begin...well from the time you are picked up at the airport to the time one is dropped off was just Wow ! I visit Accra very often and this was my best hotel stay in terms of service, comfort and overall experience. The room was comfortable and although the Wifi was jittery at times - I was able to survive ! I liked the free bar and the "Handy" phone which allows guests to make FREE calls The food at the buffet was incredible and caters for a wide variety of tastes. I noticed the main dishes were amazing value for the 120.00 GHc charged. The Seafood Platter was to die for. In regard to service, I never experienced a sad person. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Special mention to Mary who was very kind and assisted me with my requests. Keep up the great work Accra City Hotel

Wow, what a breath of fresh air...Never seen such a turn around in a hotel as at the Accra City Hotel. They transformation from the "old" Novotel culture to a renewed and vibrant city hotel is amazing! Clearly the hotel management is doing a lot of things right because the welcome, service and overall friendliness and smiles all around from the staff are very noticeable. Miles apart from what it used to be. Rooms are clean and nice, food service has also improved a lot! nice fresh and tasteful buffet and a la carte items. I enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast was very nice and plenty full. In all a great transformation into a top business hotel for Accra. I will be back!

I stayed in this hotel for more than a week for business purposes. The rooms are relatively clean, service is good, but the WiFi is horrible!! I had to buy my own pocket WiFi in order to check my emails. Breakfast buffet had a reasonable amount of choices but after staying for more than a week, it needed more variety. The lobby is relatively small for business meetings but they also had a bar and pool area where one can do some work or hang out with clients. Would have rated this 4-Star if the WiFi issue was addressed.

Beautiful hotel in a central location. Staff is friendly and very professional. Breakfast is delicious. Rooms are very clean and comfortable supplied with a complimentary mini bar and all necessary amenities. The hotels also offers a smartphone you can use for free local, international phone calls and free access to Internet.

I had a very nice room on the 5th floor. Good bed and amazing equipment: complimentary bar and expresso machine + mobile phone to call many countries in the world. Nice bathroom. Room with plenty of plugs which I really appreciate during a business trip. Nice staff always keen to please you and taking care of you in any situation. Pleasant pool area and garden. Excellent food and buffet. Also very convenient location in downtown Accra: you are always backward the traffic anytime of the day. I strongly recommand staying at Accra City hotel for a business trip.

This hotel is right downtown. There is not much in the neighborhood in terms of walking, shopping or restaurants. The hotel itself is lovely. The public areas are comfortable, the restaurant is good and the pool lovely. The staff was helpful and accommodating although not always 100% accurate in their information. Rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated.
