I always felt Africa is more expensive for the properties than any other part of the world if we were to compare Apple to apple. slightly over priced for the service ,but quite good to stay, the break fast was quite good , staff could smile a little more and be more welcoming.

This is an equally good hotel for official or personal stay, however, the wifi service inside rooms need to improve. You may not get all TV channels just a selected few, that means you need to depend a lot on the Wifi for entertainment. Room service is good.

A very nice hotel unbelievably in Africa. I was in room 230 and I can tell you I didn't want to leave. Highly recommended. The rooms are good night in size, there is a mini bar, cable etc. I just can't get enough of this hotel.

The hotel is situated in the city center with all the amenities a 4-star hotel requires. The food is amazing with rich buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The most striking part though is not how good the hotel is and the value for money it brings. It's all about the attitude and experience from the staff of the hotel. Friendly, benevolent, going the extra mile's really impressive. The experience of the Ghanaian hospitality within the hotel is exemplary for a business traveler in the whole Sub-Saharan Africa this is the first time that i felt part of a big family. Highly recommended.

Lovely night stay in Accra city Ok rooms Although wc is located in a separate area within the bedroom Modern technology of mobile phone calling for free so well done ... have not expletives that although a world traveler so the first and experienced in Ghana !! Bravo Special thanks to Francis atisiso, made my breakfast experience special and memorable and asset to the hotel and very good customer service skills displayed ! Well done Accra city for all staff employed ! Will definitely return !

From stepping out of the airport, expect a warm welcome from the shuttle chauffeur picking you up. The minibus is tired-looking, but it's part of the experience; this is Africa, after all. The hotel is anything but tired-looking. Following a short 10-minute drive, doormen welcome you in through the brass entrance to a marbled, down-lit ample reception area where you are immediately helped my efficient and professional staff. You are ushered to a immaculately clean room decorated with modern furniture, featuring all the amenities you want for a simple business trip: a pristine shower, a safe, flatscreen TV, a 'Handy' mobile device, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee station and, my personal favourite, a bottomless free minibar - yup, you heard that right. Downstairs is a spacious restaurant with a classy but relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the Accra City Hotel for your next trip to Ghana.

We've stayed in quite a number of hotels in Accra and this hotel is good for especially for business trips. Very close to the city centre, nice food, very friendly staff especially at the reception. Very clean rooms and Housekeeping was also very good and punctual. However, we had some issues with the bathroom floor, our floor was almost always flooded every time we took a shower. I don't know if it is a general issue or it was just in our room. Room service could be a lot quicker. On our last day, we got stuck in the elevator for about 25 minutes. We had to call maintenance twice and when they finally fixed it no apologies were made. In summary, it's a good hotel for business trips.

I spent 2 nights in the Accra City Hotel. This was for business purposes. The hotel was modern, clean and well equipped. Wifi worked as did the aircon - not always the case in Ghana. Two 'issues' demonstrated quality of customer care. The pool area was out of use due to a function. Arrangements were made to use the next door hotel facilities at the Movenpick - result! Much nicer pool!! The function generated noise but we were warned and given a bar voucher for a free drink. The major issue was that I woke up to a flooded room - pipe burst on roof and water flooded into my room. After an initially slow response, the hotel staff were amazing - moved me and my stuff and had my wardrobe dry cleaned in time for my meeting. The head of customer services personally looked after my every need from then on - complimentary dinner, late check out for free, taxi to meetings - she couldn't have been more attentive. I did not have to complain, these responses were forthcoming. A would visit again tomorrow!!!

Clean and tidy room in good repair, the only minor point was a control panel by the TV installed upside down. The hotel used to be a Novotel so the building reflects their style (also note that many people, including tax drivers, still know it as the Novotel) The air con is very effective and reasonably quiet; better still there is no noise from the street outside. The staff are very helpful, the breakfast buffet has a lot to offer, and the bar serves up a good range of meals and snacks. Nice sized swimming pool too.

This was an excellent hotel with a very friendly staff. The staff was very accommodating. The rooms were very clean, and the food at the hotel was great. The bar has excellent live music each night with a beautiful pool. Very conveniently located.
