Very nice hotel with a huge pool. Just make sure to use the pool in the daytime as it closes at sunset when most people are getting in and ready to use it. The breakfast buffet is good but not on par with this level of hotel (the Hilton in Kuwait is much better for breakfast). The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous.

Beautifully situated on Abu Dhabi island's backstretch facing the estuary, this hotel has the landmark Sheikh Zayed Mosque and Wahat Karama monument facing it. Inside is some of the best luxury hotel service I've experienced, including having a friendly doorman greet this newcomer by name as I arrived.

Started off with a limo transfer and ice water waiting in the car. The hotel is huge and amazing, opulent and beautiful. Our villa overlooked the Grand Mosque and the sunset behind the mosque was a sight to behold. Villas are huge, clean and cater for everything you need...but don't touch the sweets in the jars or the chocolates as they cost a fortune. The staff cannot do enough to help, including offering a lift in a buggy when we were walking to the pool. Sunbedsvare prepared every day and the pool is refreshing whereas the sea is like a hot bath. The food is well cooked and delicious with plenty of choice. The chefs love to help and cook just as you request. Nothing is too much trouble. Can't praise this hotel highly enough.

Management at this particular branch is worthless or even better, it is a management -Less hotel. I checked in on June 14 and end up checking out on the 17 to a different hotel. Rooms are on the tiny side for what they charging for, also the hotel is not fully occupied, I was still denied an upgrade as a platinum member to a better room or even complementary breakfast. I asked to speak to a manager and my request was denied since no manager on duty!! I should've read this hotel reviews before staying their. Don't waste your time and money.

Beautiful property with carefully planned architecture and design, including inlaid marble floors throughout the property in colors that I hadn't seen before. Felt very new. Dining options were great, as were pool and spa, which included a nice men's and women's salon where I was able to get a haircut. Staff was quite attentive and remembered our names

The best thing about this hotel is the service. It is fantastic and I will begin by calling out several members of staff who made the trip memorable: Sajeesh, Harsh, Kirrsh, Bonny and Vikas. The hotel is a lovely property opposite the Sheikh Zayed Mosque and very opulent. The rooms are luxurious, large and everything you'd expect from a 5* establishment in the UAE. Points to note however which left us somewhat disappointed and lower my opinion of this place slightly: -poolside food is distinctly average and needs improving -half board only includes one restaurant and not all of them under a dine around scheme which most hotels do. This was a massive let down! The hotel management refused to budge on this - we had asked for certain disability and accessibility features for our room, these were not done The staff and their service are what make this hotel, improvements are required from a management perspective

We stayed during Ramadan so it was very quiet here. Beautiful place, wonderful staff. Spacious rooms. The best swimming pool. There is plenty of food options with a number of different restaurants to suit every taste bud. Will certainly visit again if I'm lucky enough to.

Stayed for three nights. Felt hotel was exceptional value at £99 a night including breakfast, so definitely at the value end of 5 star hotels in Abu Dhabi. On that basis, the hotel delivered brilliantly. Our room was well designed and everything functioned beautifully. Pool service was exceptional- way better than the St Regis we visited a few days later- with water regularly replenished and very friendly and attentive staff. I liked having the Venetian Village restaurants to hand and having the Mosque view. Aspects of F&B fell slightly short- the hotel bar was dark and dingy and in no way welcoming, and breakfast whilst fine wasn't great- e.g. the ingredients are more four star and they won't make you an eggs Benedict. But the egg chefs did make great omelettes with a smile. The exterior architecture of the hotel isn't quite my cup of tea but I will definitely visit this hotel again as really enjoyed the relaxed ambience and the huge pool and appreciated the great room rate.

This was our second visit to the RC & we were looking forward to it very much. Check in was slow - we had to wait for a while & eventually a member of staff had to pull their colleague through from the back office to check us in. His attitude was laid back but eventually he said 'oh, I see you've stayed with us before', full stop. Reception seems to be constantly understaffed during our entire stay. Room was fine, nice and spacious but I do worry about the hotel maintenance. I think that the hotel has been short changed by the builders as you can see were there have been shortcuts and now it's not standing up to wear and tear. Restocking of glasses and toiletries by housekeeping was hit and miss during our week long stay and so was turn down. Breakfast buffet was good and staff were very attentive. I would suggest though that they have a family section as it's awful sitting amongst whinging kids and seeing them running around. I'm sure business men don't like this either. Haridas our waiter really stood out for his service, please say thanks. The pool is great but sadly awful Brit tourists are taking over again by bagging sun beds, even though it wasn't that busy. Maybe it was because the price was low in May it attracted a different type of RC guest but I detest staying at hotels where people bag beds and then wander off for hours. The pool staff need to control this. We had the pleasure of meeting Rafiq at the pool most days & he was absolutely charming - a real asset to the hotel. Food and drinks prices are extortionate at the hotel. We paid £25 for a glass!! of average Italian wine (only once I may say!). We didn't eat at the hotel as local restaurants on both sides of the canal have much better deals at around 1/3 of the price. Opera singing in the lobby didn't quite fit with the sunbed bagging clientele and seemed out of place. Location is amazing next to the Mosque and on the canal.

A lovely hotel near Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Fantastic pool and attentive staff. Great restaurants and lovely pool. Didn't make much use of the Kids Club but nice to know there was an area wherer the kids could escape the heat. Perfect for a family trip. Not cheap but top class hotel.
