From the initial welcome at the reception the stay was a welcome break from our flight from Perth back to the UK. Nothing was a problem to the staff, from finding a spare I-phone charger to providing extra waters and an additional soft pillow to our room. All of the staff without exception were extremely polite and helpful to the extreme, nothing phased them at all. The food in the dining room was varied and well presented as well as tasting superb. I would definitely be visiting again when doing this long trip!!
I would class this as the budget end of the 5 star rating. Suitable for those who are not comfortable with pure luxury but who like a little more than adequate. A good hotel, in a good area, with 2 lovely pools its own beach front & creek, a superb gym and excellent restaurants and food. We liked the location, ease of walking to a local costa coffee and the fact there is something new to do every day. Taxis are cheap to use and plentiful. They are all metered. Most of the rooms have balconies but they are too small to sit out on. The only down sides were that some of the staff didn't appear too friendly, the exception being Jacob, the lovely man from Kenya, who turned up every day in a suit and welcomed you in & out of the pool area. Break appeared to be dis organized and chaotic when it was busy, staff appeared not to be able to cope, there wasn't enough food and when it was gone it was gone. But beware of upgrading. We upgraded to a superior room when booking on line and thought it included breakfast. When we arrived we were told the room didn't include breakfast, but for an extra £400 approx. we could have our upgraded room, breakfast and free coffee , tea and snacks n a special lounge upstairs from 10-8pm. So in fact we paid twice !! Although the extra perk of the free non alcoholic drinks and snacks was useful if it was used. The food although basic was regularly replenished and the little mini cakes were fabulous. A nice hotel in all.
It's in the heart of the city. Even though very old hotel but the facility and cleanliness is fantastic even bathrooms as well. Children can enjoy in the pool and sea. We had a great time and would like to visit again.
We have passed this hotel many times over the years, and watched Abu Dhabi grow around it. The building is a strange, but iconic style - a bit like a grain store. We wanted a weekend staycation, and although this is one of the oldest hotels in the capital, I expected the brand would keep the standards high. I'm very glad to say we were not disappointed, as every element of our stay met or exceeded our expectations. We had a room on the SPG floor, and it was faultless (and we are fussy!), with everything as it should be (unfortunately a rare occurrence in Abu Dhabi!). The staff were all really nice and attentive (not overly so :)). And then there was the food.. we had a Friday brunch & breakfast the following morning, and the range and quality was as good as we have seen anywhere. There was even a reggae beach party in the evening, which we thought might cause a noise problem, but it did not. We hit the beach three times in two days - very hot of course, but plenty of lifeguards and comfy sun lounger's. Overall as great - if short break, and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for Central Abu Dhabi accommodation - with direct beach / pool access.
Thank you for a sleepless night due to your all night party. Loud music and drunken people. Staff was not able to find any solution in order to guarantee a relaxed stay. Avoid if you want to have holiday.
We recently returned back from this hotel and to be fair it ticked all the right boxes for us It's In the city centre - so the hustle and bustle of AD shopping/markets and Malls are within walking distance so are the many restaurants and bars - the plus side is that it's situated on the edge of a lagoon - so when the temperature soars - a cool swim and a lounge on a sandy beach is perfect However this is classed as a resort type of hotel where you get the "all inclusive " brigade being a tad loud around the pool bar, plus they do have a children's area - so if you want a truly tranquil vacation then look further up the corniche road It's 3 star border lining on 4 - but the price is good value for money considering its AD and especially given it's location -
We had a week break in Abu Dhabi and after a lot of research once again decided on the Sheraton! Yes, maybe it is dated, but for value for money you can't beat it. The pools are lovely in a lovely setting. We both like keeping fit and the gym here is great, well equipped with plenty of machines, it never seemed crowded . The hotel is within walking distance of local shops and malls. The rooms are small but the bathrooms are large enough. The breakfast is one of the best we have ever had with plenty of choice for all nationalities. There was plenty of sun loungers, all with plenty of shade. We upgraded to include the breakfast and drinks and snacks at lunchtime and early evening. I have lost count of the times we have stayed here. Suffice to say, we have never been disappointed.
We stayed at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi for 9 days in April-May. The temperature during that time was 36-42 C (97-107 F). A little more than we expected, but OK for what we we had in mind: relaxation. We love the beach and swimming in the sea and we really had to look for a beach hotel. We thought that we found it in the Sheraton Abu Dhabi, but we were wrong. The 'beach' is at a lagoon and the size of a swimming pool. The lagoon is plain dirty. Every day the lifeguard cleans out the trash floating in from the sea, but it's a lot. We had to swim through plastic trash. My wife stepped in something like a green oil substance under water and could not wash it of her feet. I don't want to know what it was, but it was dirty. So for us this was a huge disappointment. We love to swim in the sea for hours a day... this was impossible. Some of the early photos on Tripadvisor don't show the huge skyscrapers build next to the lagoon. There's no sea-view from the beach. That being said... we loved the food. The staff was great. In the restaurant Don from the Philippines was an excellent waiter. All the staff were nice. We liked playing tennis on the roof. We liked the sauna and hamam. The jacuzzi was out of order during our stay. We stayed in a club room on the 6th floor and there was some noise from traffic, but not that bad. We did not hear music from bars or anything. Room was great and service in the room was also very good. Travel in Abu Dhabi by taxi. It's the cheapest and most comfortable way. Visit the Mosque, the Emirates Palace, the Marina Mall.
I stayed in this hotel for 7 days. The best thing about this hotel is that the Duty Manager is accessible 24/7 through WhstsApp. Very clean room and toilet. The management is happy to provide extra bottled water without any problem.

Great location Grand building Fantastic pool area Private beach! Cons None Go here, seriously. Its worth it.
