This hotel was built in the early 1970s. It must then have been the grandest thing on what is now the Corniche. It is now a relic, typical of its time and dwarfed by its neighbours. The bedrooms are small and gloomy - the lobby feels the same. Dark, chipped furniture of the era is squeezed into the available space in the bed-rooms. It is a cramped hotel, especially compared to the gleaming, spacious modernity of its competitors along the Corniche. And the Wi-fi is unpredictable and inadequate. The beach club, across the road, is good - perhaps the best thing about the entire hotel. And the hotel is cheap compared to its peers along the Corniche; most things work; and the staff are charming (although, surprisingly, a bit more inhibited in the Executive Lounge .... reluctant to fetch nuts when asked, and floored by a request for some lemon slices). I think it is fair value for the money but, next time round, I'll pay more for accomodation elsewhere that reflects properly today's Abu Dhabi .....
The hotel is situated in a central location and has access to gorgeous beach. If you get the sea view it's a plus as you are looking at Emirates place and the Atlantis. You are also in close proximity to Etihad Towers. The hotel staff is pleasant and professional.
Service should be enhanced for quality especially in the conference where food is served and the use of the conference room for 3 days should satisfy the client's requirement. Food should not served outside but inside to ensure clean food for the client's safety. Servers should always be ready to assist in the conduct of activities like providing sufficient water, the use of audio system, the cleanliness of the room.
The breakfast choices were exceptionally good, large range of fruit, pastries, cooked meal. The service personnel were polite and efficient. The lobby and communal areas were exceptional but our room was let down by soft furnishing, curtains etc. and inefficiency of "black out curtains".
My wife and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago. We had arranged transport from the airport which was dealt with perfectly. Checkin was polite and efficient too. We used the Executive Lounge for breakfast and early evening complimentary drinks before going off for dinner. Although, the food in the evening is very good and if you chose not to dine elsewhere then there is quite sufficient in the Exec Lounge. Special thanks to the hotel general manager, Francisco Giles, Yassin Mahmoud, Front Office Manager, Pradeep Rajan, their first class F&B Manager, Tiago Batista, Recreation Manager and Passone Leonardo, the Chef De Cusine. The three or four swimming pools are excellent with plenty of sun beds. The Hilton beach is very clean and tidy with a life guard on duty most of the time. Well done to all the staff including housekeeping for their politeness and professionalism. If you book this hotel, you should not be disappointed!
Old Property but Well Maintained Excellent Location, Main Entrance area is too crowded. Smoking area must shift from entrance area. Very congested Common Prayer Room directions are not available. No ablution facility near area. Common Wash Rooms are too small.
We hosted our annual event at Hilton Abu Dhabi and the event was a great success. From pre and post event, the team has been very accommodating, friendly, exceeds expectations and professional. Special thanks to Francisco Giles (GM), Elena (Director of Events) and the entire Banquets team - who has been part of our successful event. See you again soon 👍❤️
We spent 5 days at the Hilton in Corniche and were upgraded to a Junior Suite which by british standards needed a bit of upgrading I did not find the room apart from having more space luxurious at all, we were given access to the executive room and felt that service was very slow we sat for 20 minutes until being served and having to wait on staff to serve you a drink - only 2 members to a room full of people saying that the food was excellent. Having got the negative out the way the facilities were fantastic plenty of choice within the hotel, resturaunts good, bar, Jazz barr - excellent and a night club which we did not use. the beach facilities were excellent but you have to go under the road using an underpass to get to it, they had a wonderful pool bar open in the evening with great music. Staff on the premises were excellent and apart from the executive room they could not do enough for you, our room attendant kept our room spotless twice a day and was a very cheery chap. The area is good to reach even walk to the Emerites palace and shopping malls , but taxis are cheap and a trip to the Grand Mosque is a must if you visit the area.
I used to stay at this hotel 6-7 years ago. I recently booked and stayed for almost two weeks. Although the hotel itself is old but it still provides great customer service. They know how to take care of customers. Truly enjoyed the experience in the Executive Lounge morning breakfast and evening reception with friendly staff. In particular I remember Manish who is always there to ensure your mornings and evenings are enjoyable with fresh refreshments - Always taking care of everyone with dedications.
Great 2 week sun and beach holiday location . Perfect weather and service amazing especially Aalok in the restaurant and Abey our housekeeper , very impressed with their service and a delight to have them around . Only down side was the cost of drinks . Beautiful view of the corniche from 9th floor room and wound recommend fur a winter sun holiday as long as you don't want to Spend too much on drink
