Tiny, claustrophobic rooms, small bed, problems with heating, disgusting, small bathroom. Grounding wires sticking out from the walls, sharp points that may cause injury. Outside the room rather nice (corridors, etc.), but that won't help when you just want to leave the room asap.
I have known the existence of this hotel for over 30 years and I have also recommended it to anyone who asked for a good hotel, located in the heart of central Pescara, close to the railway station, offering excellent services at very good prices. The staff is caring and friendly. I stopped for one night only. The room was clean and in the morning I enjoyed a rich buffet breakfast included in the small price. I warmly recommend.
I stayed here for 5 nights on a trip with 3 friends. We all shared a room which was spaceious and clean. Our room had 2 bathrooms, which was really practical since it was 4 of us together. It had air-conditioning which I found great, since it was fresh during our stay there. We had a buffet-like breakfast, it was ok, nothing special. The staff was very friendly, gave us maps and tips what and when to visit, where to eat, etc. The hotel is near the metro station, but it is also not to far away from different sightseeings if someone is up for a walk. I would stay here again!
Unfortunately, this hotel does not live up to its name. Air conditioning did not work the first night, the day after only after 7 o'clock? It seems to be randomly working. The room itself is damp and very small. It really needs a makeover and new beds. Same holds for the badroom. There is public parking close by and the beach plus shopping are around the corner. Apart from that, I would avoid this place until it's been modernized.
I understand that a 3-Star hotel in Italy is not 4. But, this place claims to have AC and they really don't. There is a panel downstairs they use to shut the AC off. If you go and ask, some workers turn it back on and others do not. I'm fine not having AC, but don't include it if you're shutting it off. Also, the bathroom is the most outdated so far and does not include soap. Pescara is beautiful and this is our last stop before heading back to The States. It's too bad this hotel this hotel will be etched into my mind for eternity. I'm thinking the positive reviews are from travel agents taking kickbacks. Oh and enjoy opening the door into your bed.
I was very pleased with the hotel's proximity to the bus terminal...no last minute panic and an easy stroll with luggage.. Breakfast was good, the only negative is the 'juice'. I had what I'd call orange drink, something that I commonly find at hotel breakfasts.. It was a very adequate buffet and starts @ 0700. In the evening, Wifi was weak and often got cut off or all my mail came back, undelivered (high use period?). The day staff did an excellent job of printing out bus schedules for two day trips. All I had to do was buy the tickets and choose my going and return times from numerous options. With this kind of help history and all of the other positives, I would return.
The hotel is ideally situated for walks to the city and to the beach. The airport is only 10 minutes away by taxi. For the price category the hotel has everything one needs. Staff are helpful and reliable (taxi booked for 5 am arrived dead on time).
The hotel is centrally located, cheap parking nearby, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is perfect, good coffee (even in Italy not always the case in hotels). Rooms are basic, but OK. The only negative point I had is the missing soundproofing of the rooms (one could hear the neighbors talk).
We had read the reviews and weren't expecting the 'Palace' however had we known we would never have booked! Travelling with 2 adults and 2 children the quad room is 4 single beds and adults feet hang over the end which makes it hard for children to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night due to having no space to get through. It was relatively clean but the floor was gritty, the toilet roll holder broken, and towels terrible. The professed air conditioning only operates when the temperature outside is above a certain amount (we weren't told what that was) but in the 2 nights we were there, didn't have air conditioning either night. Our room heated up during the day and you couldn't cool it down with no air con. With the window open at night to try to catch some of the breeze there is a lot of noise, people, traffic, flight path, etc and sleep was difficult! The staff were friendly and helpful, parking easy at the public car park although someone has to be up and down to renew the parking ticket at 8am each day. Breakfast was ok - but nothing to write home about. Handy location to beach and main street just a 5 / 10 minute walk. With little sleep over the last 2 nights I can't wait to get to the next hotel.
have just returned and could not fault the cleanliness of the whole hotel and the rooms. We had one twin booked and one single (4ft bed) which are both comfortable rooms. Generous sized single. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much. Great for walking both to the shops and beach.
