Very, very average. I think rather pricey for what you get - not even a bottle of water in the room. Really, absolutely no frills. But clean, and good wifi. Oh and great coffee. Breakfast..also average
Excellent location, excellent breakfast and dinner , but very disappointing the internet was very poor in the rooms. At least my room on the fourth floor. I reported to the receptionist twice but no any improvement.
The facility is old. With issues in each room. For a price of 61000 a lot can be offered. No drinkable water in rooms, internet service is slow, staff are not friendly. They booked me from Marcory to plateau without informing me. Poor service. As a sliver lining their breakfast was nice but no omelette.
Very often for my business travels, I like to stay the first days in a new country in the IBIS because there is no surprise and you know what you pay for. Their motto is "function before luxury" and the price-quality ratio is quite good. Generally, I enjoy their breakfasts. The only negative side: They have no room service.
The facility is the standard of Ibis. The room is simple and good enough against the cost. I'm not satisfied only with WIFI speed. They have Canal Plus including sport channel, and it was very good for me to watch UEFA Champions league at the room. But I'm not sure if we can watch English premier league. If they have the hot water kettle with tea/caffee set and the refrigerator in the room , it is very good.
The Ibis Abidjan had no surprises. It was just as described by other reviewers on trip advisor. A decent bed and breakfast in a central location. Breakfast is usually the same but there’s just about enough to choose from.
The hotel location is in the center and have access to most of the services and good restaurant. My disappointment was mostly around the hotel maintenance. It looks pretty old and didn't feel like i was getting my money worth. The staff was pretty cold as well, no smiles nor much interaction.
I Stayed at this hotel during my visit to Abidjan. It is a French hotel rooms are smaller size but suitable for single person and very neat and clean. But they don't provide any facility in room not even a drinking water ! No coffee or tea facility in room. For Vegetarians people very defficut to get proper food during lunch and dinner time but you will get good option during breakfast. Now here hotel staff speak French and very little English. They are not very much train how to treat international customers ! There is no information centre or tourist guide centre in hotel.
The hotel is in a very busy and noisy part of Plateau. The complementary shuttle service from the airport is friendly and helpful, but not always on schedule. Safety seems to be a major concern, with all bags being scanned as you enter the lobby area. Checking in was fairly painless, but a very rudimentary use of English by reception did not enhance the first impression. It got worse as you enter the upper levels. The hallways have a musty smell. The room was a true disappointment. Very worn-down and Spartan. It smelled musty and damp evident of poor circulation. The air conditioner worked adequately. The "carpet" was a sort of rubber. Bedding was also adequate and clean. Do not expect any complementary water on anything. Breakfast was fairly standard with some choice. If you want something made like omelette of fried eggs, you have to go and search for someone to do it for you. The breakfast area is not unpleasant though. The dinner menu is limited. The buffet never changed much during my 5 day stay, but was tasty although very pricy! Ala Carte options was also expensive for what you get. Stay away from the burger. It is not really edible. The risotto was quite good though. Checking out was quick and efficient and the shuttle service was arranged on time. This hotel unfortunately distract from the Ibis brand, and I will not recommend it.
The rooms of this hotel are getting old and strongly need serious upgrade - without once again mentioning that a glass and a bottle of water in each room would not dramatically affect the financial results especially at the rate these rooms are rented for. That being said the ground floor is pleasant, the attitude of the staff is great and the food is excellent. So Management Team please, make a financial effort and upgrade this well located hotel.
