The hotel is in a residential area and has safe parking. The breakfast was wonderful and the bar and restaurant looked inviting in the evening. The thing that let the hotel down was that the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Note - we learnt as we checked our that if you phone the hotel to book they will match all pricing found online and usually give you a better room than an Expedia booking!!

The Athol is a cosy hotel in a nice residential area in Aberdeen. The service is first class, the bar and restaurant was comfortable. Parking is free. Breakfast is good

Rooms were clean and comfortable but require updating. Lots of steps up and down to our room not accessible by lift Breakfast was great excellent choice and tasty food. Waiting staff were very friendly and service was very quick.

Birthday Treat

My overnight stay was ok, bed uncomfortable as mattress thin & noisy at every movement and floor boards were very creeky was worried about disturbing other guests. On a more positive note, breakfast service & food was excellent as was the gentleman on the front desk, whom was very helpful and phoned for a taxi on my departure.
