Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Aarhus4.0 out of 5.0

The room was fairly small. It was functional. There was no coffee or tea facility, but available upon request. However, housekeeping consistently (we were there for a week), did not wash up the coffee mugs as part of their housekeeping. Sometimes, they just removed the mugs and teaspoons and we had to request new ones. Aarhus is very small, and it's got a good central location. The pillows are terrible. They are a funny Scandinavian size, and incredibly flat. Also, the room was very warm even when we dialed down the temperature, and we know we're not the only ones because friends in other rooms made the same comment.
Had marvelous weekend stay, starting with extremely helpfull Majken on the phone and Nanna at check-in. They put effort in making your stay great. Breakfast was very very nice with good choice and personel who speedily and discretely kept everything immaculate. I loved the views from hotel. And Aarhus is brilliant, lively cozy town to visit.
Stayed in a wheelchair accessible room. The rooms are quite small. Bathroom layout is an acceptable wet floor roll in shower. But no grab rails in the shower and the fold down shower seat takes up a lot of space. Lifts to rooms are small and slow. Lots of stairs connecting the hotel with the adjacent conference centre. Very poor lift connections if you need to do business there and are in a wheelchair. Revolving door at the hotel entrance is a little small and quite fast rotating. Side door is kept locked. Not suitable for larger wheelchairs. Hotel restaurant has a very limited menu. Staff were quite inflexible... I think this is a cultural thing. And the hotel doesn't seem to really need to keep its customers happy as it's one of the only business hotels in the city with conferencing facilities. Overall the hotel seems a bit tired and in need of a refresh. It's not very sustainable. Room heating stays on even when you leave the room and it's very stuffy. Pillows are mushy and useless for neck support. Not a very comfortable stay.
This is a perfect business hotel. Everything is confortable and works well. Nice room, good breakfast, parking, free wifi, service. It’s the ideal business hotel. As you can imagine it is an expensive one. Very close to the Aros Art Museum (a must see) and The Concert Hall. It takes 15’ walking to downtown (the Cathedral).
The hotell is located within a 10 minutes walk from the central station. My room was rather big with two beds and it felt a bit worn. The breakfast was very good. The staff was kind and helpful. There is a supermarket close to the hotel with a post office.
I stayed five days at this hotel and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Spacious room on the 11th floor with a great view, very clean, nicely equipped including an Nespresso machine, convenient furniture that allows you to work comfortably in your room. Very good breakfast buffet including drinkable coffee. Centrally located in the arts neighbourhood of the town and just a few minutes from the train station. Perfect.
We came to Aarhus not really knowing what to expect. The hotel when we first saw it was great. Modern but not over done. We had a little problem with out reservation but it wasn't the fault from the hotel. Our room was on the 10 th floor with a nice view. We had luck and there was a giant festival throughout the entire town, everything was right in the area with only a short walk. The breakfast was worth the not to small price. There was no room open for wishes, everything was there! They even offer fresh fruit to take with you when you leave. I would and will be back to Aarhus and to this hotel.
Enjoyed a few days stay at this large, comfortable and well managed property. Service and rooms were all very good. The property whilst not ultra-modern is well managed and situated a few minutes from the centre of Aarhus. Has all the trappings of a well established chain. A great base if exploring the city for a long weekend. Would definitely return and recommend.
great location for a short travel, we stayed one night and were able to see the whole city just walking from the hotel. Close to the museum and a walking shopping street. Service was good, breakfast included.
I stay here often as my company is located in Aarhus. Although I love the service, location and breakfast, the rooms are really showing their age. I gave it a average rating based on the staff. The room would be poor at best. So the average is as best as I could do. I always stay in a business class room on the 10th or 11th floor. The views are fantastic. But this time I found 1110 to be not up to this hotels normal standard. The carpet was disgusting. I don't even want to know what some of the spots were. And for the first time I found the bathroom in need of a thorough cleaning. Lots of mold, cracked tiles and a really funky smell. It would also be nice if the hand held shower nozzle had a hook up high. The rain shower head is a joke. Not sure if I will be back.
