CABINN Hotel Aarhus

We were originally staying at a new hotel in Aarhus. Unfortunately its opening was delayed and they secured us alternative accommodation here. We were lucky they did as there was a major conference in town involving over1000 delegates most of whom were on a budget. The Cabinn was full. They enforce a strict check in time but will accommodate your luggage if you are early. I suggest that you avoid returning at check in time, we queued for a considerable time before finally picking up our keys. Cabin by name and cabin by nature the rooms are small but are exceedingly well designed and planned so their size is not a problem......unless you are a larger person,,, Breakfast, if you take it, is not inspired but functional. There is nothing hot but it isn't for us a problem. The hotel location is excellent and you can reach it on foot from the station by pedestrian areas and streets. There are also lots of restaurants nearby along the canal and it is close to what has been described as the world's best public library. You will hear the cathedral bells.

The location is very convenient, right next to the cathedral in the very centre of Aarhus, But we have not seen rooms so tiny yet, ours was about six or seven square meters, and two adults can just about manage in it. Yet you have ' all you need to sleep' there - the hotel also uses this slogan. But you also need peace and quiet and air to sleep - and this was in shortage. If you open the window, the very noisy hustle and bustle of people drinking outside long into the night especially at the weekend gets to you easily, and if you close the window then you will need more air soon in this tiny space. The bed is not especially small and is comfortable, everything is clean, there are plenty of powerpoints and complimentary tea and coffee, a TV too, fine towels etc.The hotel is busy, was full at our time and sometimes you need to queue at the reception. The breakfast bufet is very good, lots of things to choose from. Considering that Denmark is a very expensive country, this hotel is affordable, but you still pay quite a lot for the amazingly small room (and extra for breakfast).

This hotel is basic and small but clean. You can't beat the location and the beds were comfortable. I really can't find anything to complain about. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, look elsewhere, but overall I thought the hotel was more than adequate. Overall I thought this place was a good value.

Yes it's a Cabin hotel, that means cabins = Small rooms, small shower/toilet, should be very clear before you order. The positive is that it's in the center of Aarhus, it's clean, the people working there is very nice so all in all, a good buy! By compering to what you pay this is a recommendable place.

A central hotel in the centre of Aahus Denmark. A conveniently located hotel in the centre of Denmarks second city. Large functional and efficient if a bit impersonal. Kettle in rooms which were clean, tidy and comfortable. Continental style Breakfast was adequate. As it's in the main night entertainment area with lots of bars in the area some street facing rooms might be considered to be a little noisy. The Danes like late nights out!

Very small room, but everything clean en good. The steel-look doesn't help to make it romantic. Small beds. Small shower/toilet room, but it works. Breakfast is okay. No diner or lunch, but at the back of the hotel there is a canal with lots of restaurants.

It's a central and good. The bed are ok, and the room is really small and the bedroom is even smaller. Have no problem with it. But why put the trash bag just under the switch for the light and where you put the door key? Then the breakfast is really easy, no eggs, the cucumber where super dry, like it cut yesterday, the tomato swimming around in the bowls. Ok it's no a high price for the breakfast but you will find better outside. Because you are in down town. Difficult with the car park if the Hotel place are full. Then you need to wake for 5-10 minutes. Ok the view of the breakfast place is light and on the top with a lot of windows. But look up for the enter to the breakfast, the stars and you will find it out..

The hotel has a great central location, just upstairs from the street with bars and pubs. Walking distance away from attractions in the center. Friendly customer service. Did not try the breakfast. Our room was facing the street with bars which meant it was quite noisy. No air conditioning in the room made us open the window and just sleep through the noise. But it's ok, location is just great for this price. Not cheap, but cheapish for Århus. Would definitely stay there again.

I guess the title gives away what I feel about this hotel. It offered few if any home comforts and married this with the usual high prices of Denmark (we paid DKK 900 per night) and mediocre customer service (no complimentary late checkout - DKK100 per hour - nor check in before 3pm despite rooms being available for occupancy). The hotel is located in great central spot for day time tourism and dinner outlets but then the Danes tend to drink very late and can't hold it, shouting like juveniles into the early hours (sorry Danes there's much I like about you and your station but binge drinking and unruly behavior by some, reminiscent of my native U.K., is not one of them). This wrecked our sleep especially my light sleeping wife. The AC was hopeless but we could not open the windows given the din outside. The feature picture in the room promised "all you need to sleep". It failed on all counts. I will not use this hotel ever again, opting for Airbnb whenever I can where reliable brands are unavailable or I'd like the ability to self cater and make tea / coffee. I advise readers do the same.

Stayed at Aarhus for one night while visiting friends. My sons (12 and 15) were traveling with me, so I ended up getting a room for them and one for me. The positives: - Reservations. Made a last minute reservation, so called. The person was very friendly, excellent English, and efficient. Helped me navigate through the nuances like the different room sizes. - Great location! Easy walk from the train station, and very close to the cathedral and central city square. - Room covers the basics: Very small, cruise ship like bathroom, but hey it works and the shower was actually good. Beds and bedding good quality. Small space, but enough. Internet. - Breakfast room. On par with mid-range priced restaurants in terms of range of food, quality, and comfort of the space. Negatives - The noise! I got a room facing the back, and had to have the window open to cool the room. There's a restaurant facing that same way, and the chinking sound of dishes and glasses being washed, as well as garbage being taken out, etc., was very prominant. Less of an issue later on. Unfortunately, not convinced the noise would be better on the other side facing the square. - The doors. One was sticking, and one was just not completely straight, so there was a bit of a gap. Not a major issue. This is a very reasonable option for budget travellers, most of the tradeoffs made to save money are workable.
