This Cabinn hotel is one of the more modern Cabinn chain hotels in Scandinavia. The location is right in the center. It is a short walk from the train station, a 15 minute walk from the Den Gamle By (the old town) and a 10 minute walk from the Aarhus museum. They offer free Wi-Fi in all rooms and common areas. The shower is relatively spacious with a modern shower head and good water pressure. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops. The Viking museum and the Latin quarters are just around the corner from the hotel.
The location is very close to restaurants, clubs, shopping centers, museums and... The room is so small and has not air condition and refrigerator. In summer weather is warm and humid so you should open the window. If you open it you can not tolerate, the room is close to clubs and very very noisy. It is clean but bathroom is the worst. The shower is awful. The wifi is so unstable. The room has a tv but you can not see the screen in some where in the room. For example I was in a family room with 4 beds and 2 beds were in blind space. I think the room cost is expansive for this situation.
Hotel is placed in the heart of Aarhus with many night clubs, restaurants, cafes and shopping possibillities around. There is a private parking just under hotel. You need to contact the reception in the morning on the day of arrival and ask after parking place. You pay about 100DKK for parking, but it is worth as your car is right beside you - safe and clean. As it is in the center, you may experience some noise from the main street, but you gonna not notice if you are tired after a the night in the city. The rooms are small as expected - you get what you pay for. But as mentioned, if you come just to spent the night over - it is perfect for such amount of money. Bathroom was in a mini edition, but enough. Maybe I missed a hairdryer in the bathroom, but not a big deal. You get soap and shower gel and it is enaugh for one night. There was a tv in the room, free wi-fi, also a kettle with tea bags and instant coffee. Madrass was very comfotable to sleep. The room was facing the backyard, so quiet enough. The only one disadvantage - hard door smacking noise in the stairway. Maybe a little bit warm in the room - but we opened a window and problem was solved. Staff in the reception was helpfull.
After the first nice impression at the reception, be prepared to hell. Limited parking available ( an a Parkin lot at 10 minutes walk, not easy with luggage). Very very poor breakfast. The worst is the bathroom : as you can see in the picture, no shover box so after a shover even using the tent everything is flooded and very slippery (I almost feel down). Avoid it if you can
Though the rooms are relatively small, the place is clean and affordable. There is a technical problem with the bathroom - there is no divider on the floor between shower and the toilet. So after showing, the entire floor is wet. It takes quite a while to dry up. So, it's a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I am quite happy with my stay.
Small effective rooms with all that you need. Right in the heart of Århus. Couldnt ask for more. Breakfast at the top of the building. Nice view. Easy in, easy out! If you are driving reserve in advance. Parking can be very difficult to find even with the help of GPS.
Parking in this place is a nightmare, you have to request to have garage opened by going into reception, all the while blocking the street, running the risk of a fine from traffic cops! Staff could not care less if they tried Rooms a small, with tiny bathrooms breakfast expensive for the reheated bread you get But location in the middle of the town is good Load of street noise and loise from other rooms and corridors
This is a standard budget hotel with very small rooms. I stayed in one of the largest rooms and it will do for a fvew nights when you are just one in the room. The location is excellent and the breakfast (included) is not half bad.
The hotel is located in the hart of Arhus, if you like bars and shops: you'r in the centre! Reception and staff is friendly and helpfull. Rooms are very basic but clean, good ventilation (window open lets noise in). Sound isolation (window closed) is good. Bed is clean an good, bathroom small but good. The nam Cabinn refers to the ferry cabins whick you can easily see in the small bathroom. I had th small room, there are more luxeriuos rooms.
Great hotel, brightly decorated and very clean. Reception staff are very relaxed and friendly. Rooms are small, but this wasn't a problem for us travelling as a couple, I think if we had been staying for more than four nights though it might have been a bit of an issue as there is very little storage space in the rooms. As it was though, ideal for us, and by Aarhus standards, a cheap hotel. Top tip: Don't bother with breakfast, it is expensive for standard continental fare, and with the plethora of awesome cafes, restaurants and street food places within 5 minutes walk, you're better off skipping breakfast, having a lie in, then heading out to eat, where you can get great food for less money. The "Street Food Market" by the bus station is brilliant.
