The staff I encountered were spectacular! They were friendly, outgoing and helpful. I DO think there were people on holiday or out sick as several times I called down to the front desk or the bar and there was no answer. There were also several times when I was looking for front desk or bar staff and they were nowhere to be found - I waited at the desk/in the bar and ultimately gave up. The common areas are attractive, comfortable and clean. My room felt old and grungy. When I arrived there were mold and water leak stains on the bathroom ceiling and the shower curtain smelled like mildew. The first bath towel I reached for had a large hole (fit four finger in it). I did not say anything to staff during my stay as I figured the rooms would likely be the same. The bed was clean and comfortable. My stay was mostly comfortable, made all the better by the helpfulness of the staff!
