Overall i had a great experience, just wish they had more jamaican food durind breakfast as an option as both buffets

This resort is horrible. We brought out 1 1/2 year old and they had no food or drink options for kids. Everything we asked for was out. Pools are all broken apart tiles everywhere. Ant infested deck on our swim out. Main pool ripped apart for renovation. We couldn’t take it anymore and had to book another hotel. Also will never use Orbitz again either since they will not help get us our refund since we booked a 7 night stay and only stayed one night. We booked another resort through them so essentially paid for two vacations. Don’t use Orbitz or this hotel what a joke.

I had a wonderful time at this resort. My only issue was the spacing in the room for clothing and packed luggage. The room I was in had nice modern furniture, but lacked space for adequate storage. We had to make do with the space provided. But overall I had a great time and enjoyed my stay.

The facility and beach where very nice, but particularly the bar and waiter staff was poor. They were very slow and made you feel unwelcome.

Fantastic resort! First class accommodations, the staff were great and the beach was incredible. Will be staying at Azul again next time in Jamaica!

The property was nice and most staff were very friendly. I was surprised at how short the beach was, and the sand was not soft (I don't think they comb the beach - I have stayed in Negril before and the beach was super soft!). The biggest downfall was the food. If you like buffets with similar items daily and don't care about quality, you will like this. Even the restaurants were not great. I am used to high quality food - I want to dress up for a gourmet dinner and top shelf drinks like a pre-drink expresso martini. This is not the place to go if you want that. If you are just interested in hanging poolside/beach with tropical drinks and don't care about the food, it would be great. Also, room service not great. The front desk also called to see if I needed anything, I asked for additional waters and shampoo...no one ever came back to the room. Also, they do try to say come for free breakfast with your concierge (we already get free breakfast) but you have only have 1-2 options. Good luck getting restaurant reservation. We did walk in to the Asian restaurant and said we had a reservation (as of day one of 6...they could not fit us in). We did get a high top table and were so happy. But the food...don't go there for the sushi. And saki is an extra charge. And don't drink the cheap wine...basically my complaint was on the food and drinks.

The people

Azul Beach in Negril has the most helpful staff ever. Kevon, our concierge was top notch and always attentive to our needs. Kenesha, the supervisor, was very helpful and accommodating. The entertainment at this resort was 5 star from the fire dancers at the beach picnic to the dancers at the Amber Bar, we were wowed. Great DJ too! I loved the location on 7 Mile Beach too! Being able to walk nonstop was great! I will be back!

All the staff were so friendly and amazing! The food gets a little old after a couple days as it’s basically the same wherever you go. Also, the highway is right next to the hotel, and was so noisy at times I thought I was trying to sleep directly on the highway. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the glass bottom boat tour was fantastic (mostly because the guides were awesome). My only suggestions for improvements would be having wristbands instead of key cards for the room, and a better selection and variety of wines. Otherwise, it’s a great, beautiful experience.

The Butler service was excellent along with the people. Roxanne, Crystal, Damian, Dave, and Marion made our stay. We gained some great friends by meeting these people!

Had a great time for my husband's 40th birthday celebration. Roxanne was our assigned butler and she was prompt, attentive, pleasant, and overall gave us amazing service! M&M and the rest of the entertainment crew was great. We really enjoyed the Michael Jackson show! It was Fantastic! We attended dinner at the many different restaurants, but was most pleased with Asian cuisine, but we loved the view Akee provided. Our room initially smelled of mildew when we arrived. We noticed that the AC was leaking from the ceiling. We called maintenance and they were quick to arrive and fix the problem. Afterwards, housekeeping came to clean up the water and spray air freshener to get our room smelling good. Our swimout room was amazing and very enjoyable. The swimout bar tenders were very friendly and lively. We would definitely consider coming back to this resort!

That the hotel is in the beach

WE ENJOYED THIS PROPERTY. THE STAFF WAS KIND AND HELPFUL ALTHOUGH THE BUTLER WAS UNRELIABLE. THE POOL WATER BY THE SWIM UP ROOMS BLEACHED MY SWIM ATTIRE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE GROUNDKEEPER. THREE EXPENSIVE SWIMSUITS DAMAGED WITH COLORATION FADE. OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE OF VACATING HERE WAS ENJOYABLE AND WILL BE REMEMBERED. TY

I have been to many resorts around the world, and by far, Azul was THE best. It wasnt huge like the rest and the food was surprisingly really good for an all-inclusive! The staff webt above and beyond every single day. Dwayne from Room service was AMAZING! Saidi at the bar was a gem! Never had one bad experience on pur week long stay. The beach is definitely the best on 7 mile. Water was so calm and blue! Better than any Caribbean beach we've stayed at. We always found a chair or bali bed every morning too which was nice. We cant wait to return! We felt very very safe our entire time. Everyone was so helpful too.
