What you can expect

  • Leave the conventional tour coach behind and go off-road in southern Iceland. See the 3 famous sights on the renowned Golden Circle route—a beautiful national park, an inspiring waterfall, and a dramatic geyser site. Complete your adventure by motoring across glacial terrain on a snowmobile.

It's up and over Hengill Volcano to start the day, as your Super Jeep eases over the rugged landscape. Absorb the beauty of Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an area of major geological importance. From your local guide, learn about the local tectonic activity and the historical significance of the region in Iceland's history.

Continue to the hot springs at Geysir and witness first-hand the geothermal activity in the Haukadalur Valley. Feel the spray in your face of the majestic 2-tier Gullfoss Waterfalls, a dramatic sight—so have your camera ready. Pick up your snowmobile at Langjökull, one of Iceland's largest glaciers, and enjoy the thrilling ride as you power across the ice.

Return to Reykjavik in the evening.
