Discover the Vaipo Waterfall: A Spectacular and Unforgettable Adventure!

Get ready for a unique experience in the heart of the wilderness! Our day trip to VAIPO takes you through breathtaking landscapes, combining comfort and adventure.

It all starts with a departure by 4x4, between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM, from your accommodation in the village of Taiohae. You will be guided along trails, cross the majestic pine forest nestled in the center of the island's crater, and make stops at various vantage points to admire the surrounding beauty.

Along the way, we will stop at the pools of the sacred basin, a place steeped in history and mystery. Then get ready for a thrilling round-trip hiking tour of about 2 hours, which will take you to the top of the dizzying 350-meter waterfall plunging into the HAKAUI Valley. The view from the top is simply breathtaking!

To make the day even more enjoyable, we will share a picnic on site while enjoying the natural surroundings. You can cool down with a swim in the river, which is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the natural world.

Then the ascent of the Grand Z to the ridge of TEIVIPAKEKA. You will be rewarded with a 360-degree panoramic view, between the HAKAUI Valley and the Keiaki Crater of MATATETEIKO. An unforgettable moment to capture with the setting sun!

Finally, we will return to the village via the center of the crater on the Toovii Plateau, bringing this day full of discoveries to a close as we pass through the pastures of cows and horses.

This excursion is considered moderate, so it is recommended that you be in good physical condition and not have a fear of heights.
