What you can expect

  • Head away from the bustling city of Zurich and snake along the scenic roads to Interlaken, tucked into the snow-covered Bernese Oberland Mountains. Explore this traditional Swiss town at your leisure before heading to the popular resort of Grindelwald, known as Glacier Village.

Once a grand retreat for vacationing Victorians, Interlaken is now known as an adrenaline-seeker's playground thanks to the wide range of activities you can do in the city. From hang-gliding to paragliding to glacier walks. With the mind blowing backdrop of snowcapped mountains, a plethora of restaurants and shops, and a friendly Alpine atmosphere, you're sure to enjoy your free time for independent sightseeing.

Continue on to the popular holiday resort of Grindelwald. Here you are spoiled with views of 2 glaciers and the crown-like peaks of the Wetterhorn and Eiger mountains. During the summer, you may choose to take the cable car up Mt. First, where you can kick back and relax on the sunny terrace. Overlooking the Bernese Alps, you can soak up unrivaled views from 7,100 feet (2,100 m). In the late afternoon meet your tour guide for the return coach ride back to Zurich.
