Overview

We will leave from Gaeta, admiring the Aragonese Castle overlooking the sea. We will head towards the suggestive “Grotta del Turco”. At the extreme point of the promontory, the Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata awaits us with the characteristic chapel dedicated to the Most Holy Crucifix built on a rock wedged between the walls and suspended over the blue sea. Thus we come to a small cavity on the coast, barely perceptible and little frequented… the Pozzo del Diavolo!
Not far away “the Cala dei 40 remi”. Its wild soul immediately emerges from a characteristic of the fact that it can only be visited by swimming, canoe or boat.
And now everyone in the water, it's time for a refreshing swim!!
When you go back on board, an assorted tray with fresh seasonal fruit and a glass of prosecco will be waiting for you.

The snorkeling equipment that is shown in some photos is not owned by us, but belongs to the summer camp that takes part in our excursions. Therefore we will not provide that type of model.
Please arrive 15 minutes before departure at the harbour to formalize boarding practices. No delay will be tolerated on departure scheduled for 12.
On this private VIP tour only your group can participate up to a maximum of 12 people.
We recommend the experience in the morning compared to the afternoon one because the sea is always calmer. In fact, it can happen that in the afternoon the sea can get agitated in a short time due to mistral winds, and in this eventuality the Tour has to be canceled with little notice for the guests.
We will meet near the TIDE Bar located on the Caboto seafront. The jetty where the boat is moored at "Nautica Salemme" is located exactly in front of the Bar. Our captain will welcome you with all the information relating to the reservation. The area is full of parking lots near the boat.

Leaving the Gulf of Gaeta behind us, we will follow the coastline accompanied by the rhythmic breath of the sea. The majestic Aragonese Castle stands proudly on a rock overlooking the sea and still seems to watch over the entrance to the Port.

Santuario della Santissima Trinita - Della Montagna Spaccata (Pass by)

At the extreme point of the promontory, the Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata awaits us. The characteristic chapel dedicated to the Most Holy Crucifix was built on a rock wedged between the walls of the fissure and still today it resists suspended over the deep blue sea.

Via Pozzo del Diavolo

Thus we come to a small cavity on the coast, barely perceptible and little frequented... the Pozzo del Diavolo! In ancient times this must have been a small karst cavity formed over the millennia, favored by marine erosion, but following the collapse of the top of the cave, this was given the sinister name of "Pozzo del Diavolo"

Its wild soul immediately emerges from one feature: in fact, it cannot be reached on foot, not even through those secret paths that are often known only among residents. To visit it you have to get there exclusively by swimming, canoe or boat: its curious name would derive from the fact that "40 rowing" are necessary starting from the nearby landings; according to another version, however, the 40 oars would be a measure of its length. This cove is usually our favorite for swimming!
