What you can expect

  • Jeonju is a charming city, famous for its traditional village, its literary culture and, as a corollary, its production of “hanji” paper, which is so strong that it is also used to make walls.
A tour at your own pace, which can be adapted to your wishes, with Yann, who has been working in the audiovisual industry in Korea for over 15 years.
He is particularly familiar with this city, having visited it every year for its film festival or other work-related occasions.
We suggest visiting its traditional village, avoiding its most touristy aspects, for example around the Confucian Hanggyo School, which is home to centuries-old trees and buildings.
We can take you to visit a traditional paper factory.
We also offer a trip to the surrounding mountains, to a fortress and a temple in the heart of the forest, which provides an unbeatable vantage point over the city and its surrounding area. You don't even have to go far if you know where to go!
Jeonju is also the capital of Korean cuisine, famous for its “bibimbap.” We can also let you try two other culinary curiosities of the city that are very popular with Koreans: “gameks,” old-fashioned grocery stores with adjoining bars, and the “makgeolli paradise,” a traditional rice-based drink. In Jeonju, it is enjoyed alongside a myriad of dishes for a very reasonable price.
