What you can expect

On this full-day tour, see Epidaurus and its renowned theatre, visit Nafplio, and stop to see the Royal Tombs in Mycenae—the Homeric city of Atreides, the city “rich in gold” of the ancient poets. Along the way, stop for lunch and admire the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress.

Take the road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, connecting the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, and drive to Mycenae—the Homeric city of Atreides. According to mythology, it was the town of the legendary king Agamemnon—the Greek leader during the Trojan War—and a setting in ancient tragedies. Here, see the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the imposing Royal Tombs.

Head through the fertile plain of Argoli to Nafplio, a picturesque town at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress, built during the Venetian ages. With elegant mansions and large squares, the Old Town is a marvel to walk around. Visit Epidaurus and its massive theater, designed in the 4th century BC and famous for its impressive acoustics, before returning to Athens.
