Overview

  • Part of our hands-on workshop series, this two-hour class brings together the flavors our guests keep raving about: fresh guacamole, comal cooking, simple Mexican culinary techniques, and cocktails made with our award-winning, additive-free tequila. It is a practical, relaxed way to experience Cachasol through the food and drinks you make yourself.

    Cachasol Tequila sits at the center of the mixology side of the experience. Made with 100% Nayarit-grown agave and IPA-inspired fermentation, our tequilas bring bright citrus, floral notes, and real agave character to the glass. Men's Journal named Cachasol one of 2026's Best Small-Batch Tequilas and Best Everyday Tequilas, and this workshop gives you a hands-on look at how those flavors work with fresh ingredients.

    Many guests arrive for a class and end up staying for dessert, another drink at the Cachashade Bar, or a little more time at the farm while the kids play.

Activity itinerary

Join us for a hands-on, two-hour culinary and mixology workshop at Cachasol Farm Distillery. Gather fresh herbs from the garden, make two tequila cocktails, prepare guacamole en molcajete, and cook tortillas on the comal before enjoying a full Mexican meal in our open-air Comedor. What you'll experience: Check in at the Cachashade Bar and settle in with an agua fresca while we introduce the workshop. Take a short walk through the garden and property to gather herbs, inspiration, and a feel for the farm-to-glass side of Cachasol. Return to the Cachashade Bar and make two Cachasol tequila cocktails with fresh ingredients and simple, useful techniques. Youth and non-drinking guests can participate with mocktails. Make fresh guacamole while learning simple techniques around texture, balance, lime, chile, salt, and the order of ingredients. Learn a little about corn's role in Mexican food culture, then move to the comal and try your hand at cooking tortillas and quesadillas. Enjoy the food you prepared: guacamole, 2 quesadillas, rice, beans, and salsas. Adult guests will also enjoy a taste of our estate-made raicilla.
