What you can expect

Step into a world of fascinating species and experiences at Copenhagen Zoo. With more than 4,000 animals from around the world, you can experience something new at every visit. You can get close to both mammals, reptiles, and birds from many different parts of the world. There are always exciting feeding demonstrations, educational speaks and fun workshops that will make your visit unforgettable.

The Zoo offers both outdoor and indoor experiences all yearround. Warm yourself in the Tropical House and experience everything from crocodiles and snakes to butterflies and armadillos – and if you’re lucky, you may even get to hang out
with the sloths. You can also experience the lively polar bears up close as they play in the large pool of the Arctic Ring, or you can go exploring in Zoolab and watch the busy leafcutter ants.

EAT AMONG THE ANIMALS
Is your stomach roaring like a lion? The Zoo offers many dining options from sweet and savoury to hot and cold. Visit, for example, our family restaurant Kjærbøllings Hus, that serves both open-faced sandwiches and hot meals.

ZOO FOR KIDS
Enjoy exciting and educational shows, then explore the Zoo to create your own unique adventure. Learn how you help save wildlife and make a difference.

DID YOU KNOW THAT …
When you visit the Zoo, you contribute to saving threatened animals and supporting conservation projects worldwide. The Zoo works with everything from reintroducing endangered amphibians in Denmark to combating illegal poaching of rhinos in South Africa.

The Zoo is open every day, all year-round. Check opening hours at zoo.dk
