Overview

Walk beneath the Three Sisters into the Blue Mountains rainforest, with around 3 hours for an independent valley hike. Your guide explains the route and walks with you to the Giant Stairway handover point before you set off.

Descend the Giant Stairway, follow Federal Pass towards the valley below Scenic World, then retrace your steps to Echo Point. The guide does not accompany the valley hike. Steep stairs and the demanding climb back require fit, confident walkers. Your guide confirms the return time and meeting point on the day.

Rejoin the group for Katoomba Cascades, Cahill's Lookout and Leura, with free time to buy lunch. Water and snacks are included. Transport may be shared with Scenic World guests; hikers skip the rides and Katoomba town lunch stop. Visit order and timings vary.

Minibus: fixed meeting-point pickup and Furama Darling Harbour drop-off. Mercedes-Benz: hotel pickup and drop-off within Sydney CBD. Rides and lunch are not included.

Darling Harbour (Pass by)

Catch a glimpse of the vibrant Darling Harbour precinct as we depart central Sydney. Enjoy the beautiful waterfront views and modern architecture from the comfort of your seat as we begin our journey towards the rugged Blue Mountains.

Sydney Fish Market (Pass by)

As we head west out of the city, we will pass by the iconic Sydney Fish Market. Enjoy views of the bustling Blackwattle Bay from the vehicle before we merge onto the highway towards the majestic Blue Mountains.

Anzac Bridge (Pass by)

Enjoy a scenic drive over the impressive Anzac Bridge, Sydney's longest cable-stayed bridge. Take in the sweeping views of the harbor and city skyline from the vehicle as we leave the city behind and set our course for the mountains.

Blue Mountains National Park Glenbrook (Pass by)

Pass through Glenbrook, the historic eastern gateway to the Blue Mountains. As the vehicle begins its ascent along the mountain ridge, watch the landscape dramatically change from city suburbs to thick, rugged eucalyptus forests. Welcome to the wilderness!

Echo Point Lookout

Take in the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley views before your valley hike. Your guide explains the walking route and return arrangements, confirms where and when to meet back at Echo Point, and accompanies you to the Giant Stairway handover point. The valley hike itself is self-guided. Time here is approximate and includes preparation for the walk; arrangements vary on the day.

The Giant Stairway

Enjoy around 3 hours of self-guided hiking beneath the Three Sisters. Your guide briefs you on the route and return arrangements, then walks with you to the Giant Stairway handover point. Descend the steps and follow Federal Pass towards the valley below Scenic World, then retrace your route to Echo Point. The guide does not accompany the valley hike. This is a strenuous walk with steep stairs and a demanding uphill return, suited to fit, confident walkers. Allow enough time for the climb back. The route does not use Furber Steps; Scenic World rides are not included. You may turn back earlier. If you return early, wait at The Lookout Echo Point, where you can buy lunch or coffee and browse the gift shops at your own expense. Rejoin the group at the time and meeting point confirmed by your guide that day. The hiking duration is approximate; daily timings vary.

Katoomba Cascades

Relax in the garden village of Leura after your Blue Mountains walking and sightseeing. Enjoy free time to buy lunch or a coffee at your own expense, browse the local shops, and explore the tree-lined main street. Hiking guests visit Leura with the shared tour group.
