Begin your adventure with a warm welcome from your English-speaking driver-guide. Hop into your private car and enjoy the morning views as you head toward the countryside.
Step into one of Banyuwangi’s most magical places, Djawatan Forest. Often called the “Lord of the Rings Forest,” Djawatan is a dreamlike grove of ancient trembesi trees, with towering branches draped in moss and sunlight peeking through the leaves. Stroll along peaceful paths and capture stunning, fairytale-like photos.
Continue east toward Baluran National Park, often dubbed the “African Savannah of Java.” Enjoy a 2.5-hour drive through rice paddies, quiet villages, and coastal roads. Make a stop at a local eatery for lunch (at your own expense).
Arrive at Baluran and find yourself in a completely different landscape—dry grasslands, acacia trees, and roaming wildlife. At Bekol Savanna, look out for deer, peacocks, monkeys, and the rare Javan banteng (wild cattle). Later, visit Bama Beach, a quiet shoreline within the park where mangrove forests and calm waters provide a peaceful break from the sun.
As the sun begins to set, head back to your hotel in Banyuwangi, ending the day with golden views and the soothing sounds of nature.
