Activity itinerary

Day 1: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park ( Avatar Mountain)

  • 6 stops
  • Meals: Not included
  • Accommodation: Not included

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie

  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in China's Hunan Province, is renowned for its surreal landscape of towering sandstone pillars, deep ravines, and dense forests shrouded in mist. Its iconic peaks, like the 'Avatar Hallelujah Mountain,' inspired the floating mountains in the famous movie. With breathtaking vistas, thrilling glass walkways, and rich biodiversity, this natural wonder attracts adventurers, photographers, and nature enthusiasts from around the world.

BaiLong Elevator

  • 30m
  • Admission ticket not included
Bailong Elevator, the 'Hundred Dragons Sky Lift,' is a jaw-dropping glass elevator built onto a 330-meter cliff in Zhangjiajie. As the world's tallest outdoor lift, it rockets visitors up the mountain in just 88 seconds, offering dizzying views of the sandstone pillars below. This engineering marvel (and occasional adrenaline rush) cuts hours off hikes while creating a thrilling shortcut to Wulingyuan's iconic peaks.

Yuanjiajie

  • 2h
Yuanjiajie – Where Avatar's "Hallelujah Mountains" come to life. This crown jewel of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan stuns with its forest of 1,000m quartzite pillars, cliff-hugging trails above swirling mists, and iconic stone bridges forged by 300 million years of erosion. The ultimate "floating peaks" experience.

Tianzi Mountain

  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Tianzi Mountain – The "King of Sandstone Peaks" where nature stages its most dramatic show. Crowned by the Emperor's Writing Brush formations and the ethereal "Fairy Scattering Flowers" rock, its 3,000+ pillars emerge from misty abysses like a living ink painting. Sunrise transforms the entire sea of peaks into molten gold.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds

  • 1h
  • Admission ticket not included
The sea of clouds at Tianzi Mountain is one of Zhangjiajie's most magical spectacles. When mist rises after rain, rolling clouds engulf the peaks, leaving only jagged summits floating like islands—straight out of Avatar's Pandora. At sunrise, golden light spills across the cloud waves, turning the sky into a molten masterpiece of nature.

Ten Miles Gallery

  • 1h
  • Admission ticket not included
The 5.8km-long Shili Gallery is a natural sculpture museum where a scenic train glides past towering karst formations like "Herbal Gatherer" and "Three Sisters Peaks". With blooming wildflowers in spring and crimson foliage in autumn, this valley transforms into a living Chinese landscape painting - Wulingyuan's most picturesque walking trail.

Day 2: Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon&Glass Bridge and Tianmen Mountain

  • 3 stops

  • Accommodation: Not included

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge

Peer through the crystal-clear panels to see the emerald river snaking 400m below, while mist swirls around jagged cliffs. Daredevils can opt for bungee jumping (one of the planet's highest) or cliff swings. Pro tip: Visit at sunrise for crowd-free photos with clouds drifting under your feet!

The Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie

  • 3h
  • Admission ticket included
This 12km-long geological wonderland showcases Earth's most spectacular vertical landscapes. Venture into the 300m-deep canyon to discover: the world-record glass bridge soaring 430m above ground, over 20 cascading waterfalls like liquid rainbows, an emerald boat ride through Jurassic-era rock corridors, and heart-pounding cliffside trails. More than an adventurer's paradise, it's a 380-million-year-old storybook - with ancient marine fossils embedded in the cliffs revealing its incredible oceanic past!

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park

  • 5h
  • Admission ticket included
Crowned as the "Sacred Peak of Hunan", this 1,518m mountain astonishes visitors with its natural arch - the 131.5m-high Heaven's Gate. Board the world's longest cable car (7,455m) for a cloud-piercing journey: walk on cliff-hanging glass walkways 1,400m above ground, marvel at the 99-bend "Road to Heaven" snaking up the slopes, stand beneath the colossal cave where planes once flew, and discover rare dove trees in pristine forests. From daredevil wingsuit base to ancient Tujia holy site - Tianmen Mountain redefines the sublime meeting of nature and culture! (Cultural Tip: The 999-step staircase represents spiritual perfection - count your steps for good fortune!)
