Our small road train takes us at a leisurely pace through one of Usedom's most beautiful regions, the Achterland, with its small, almost still pristine villages, the adjacent Achterwasser and its diverse nature.
We leave the seaside resorts and head towards Benz. Here, we will visit an Early Gothic church from the early 13th century, with a coffered ceiling decorated to resemble a starry sky. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the unspoiled landscape. The path then takes us to Neppermin. Many houses have thatched roofs or stand on limestone plinths – a feast for the eyes.
We will ride along the Achterwasser, through the villages of Balm and Dewichow, and on to Morgenitz. The country excursion then takes us to the harbor of Rankwitz. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Peene River.
At the “Alte Fischräucherei” restaurant, you will find a wide range of freshly smoked fish as well as fried and cooked fish specialties. After this hearty meal, you will head to Mellenthin moated castle, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee or to tour the castle complex.
Afterwards, you will head back towards the Imperial Baths.
