This 3-day trip takes us to the Walo and Fouta regions of the ancient kingdoms of Senegal.
Departure from Saint-Louis early in the morning for a rich and authentic immersion off the beaten track in the Senegal River valley and on Morphil Island; from tradition to architecture and nomadic and semi-nomadic lifestyles, and very resilient populations.
Visiting typical traditional Fulani villages with rounded huts topped with thatch, which preserve the authenticity of the cultures, a people of sedentary and nomadic herders and shepherds.
The journey of discovery is as follows:
1- From Saint-Louis, we head to a traditional Fulani village to spend time with these people
2- Fulani village, then head to Richard Tool to visit the Folie du Baron Roger, a former site for experimenting with the first crops introduced to Senegal, then travel to Dagana for the night. It was a former trading post located on both banks of the Senegal River, between Senegal and Mauritania.
3- Visit to the village of Goumel, not far from Dagana, in the heart of traditions and culture, and then Podor on Ile à Morphil.
