Es fácil explorar Maui desde la ubicación central de Honu Kai, y hay muchos incentivos para hacerlo: hay aventura y belleza en todas partes. Pero ciertamente disfrutará regresar a este condominio Hono Kai del segundo piso, B-16; ¡se siente como si estuvieras viviendo en una casa de árbol tropical tranquila! Hono Kai es un complejo frente al mar, orientado al sur, con vistas panorámicas de la costa de arenas blancas y curvas hasta el cono rojo de Makena, la Bahía de Ma'alaea y todas las actividades que se realizan en él, Kahoolawe y Molokini, y majestuosa haleakala. De diciembre a abril, las ballenas jorobadas regresan de las aguas de Alaska para tener sus terneros; se pueden ver desde la piscina y la playa frente al resort, que es tranquila y encantadora. Unit B16 was larger than expected and had everything we needed for our stay. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to all areas on Maui. Maalaea Bay Hono Kai Condo

Very comfortable basic condo with a fantastic sand beach sheltered from the trade winds and very little waves. Convenient to all locations on Maui. It is in the landing path for incoming jets, but there are not many flights into Maui.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lanai chairs old and uncomfortable. Kitchen was lacking in cooking and eating utensils (we even had to go buy a can opener). Dripping and squirting bathroom sink faucet needs to be replaced. No cooler provided. Adjacent parking lot is very noisy.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a great vacation. But area is SUPER windy. We went to east and west sides of the island and it was much calmer. The condo was ok. It has almost everything you need but I think they could go a little farther in providing more convenient stays for guests. Like there was dish soap but no sponge or dish cloth. Bathroom has only hand soap, but not even small sized shampoo and conditioner. It would be very helpful specially when you arrive late at night. There was only two cooking pots, one really small and one really big. Coffee maker didn’t have any coffee filters that are also would be helpful. There was beach chairs , But I think Some of them was not cleaned for so long it has a wasp nest attached to it. The location of the condo is OK but you have to drive everywhere. There is almost nothing to do in close proximity. Otherwise, we liked the condo It has plenty of linen and towels. It was good for the price we paid.

GREAT location and cute condo

The best part about my stay here was the location! It is RIGHT on the beach, so I spent my mornings walking with coffee and my nights listening to the waves. It was a quick walk to the main shops of Maalea. The location also made for easy access to Lahaina and Paia/Road to Hana. The only downside was a notable strong sewer smell that seemed to be bad once a week.
