The Spoonbill Cottage, newly built in 2020, is a family friendly 4 bedroom/4 bath home located in beautiful Vilano Beach. Steps to the shore, this home is nestled in the midst of a quiet beachy neighborhood convenient to restaurants, Publix and a short drive to historic town. Decorated in a fun "Floridian Cottage" decor, this home is outfitted with all the creature comforts. There really is no better place to settle in and enjoy everything which makes Saint Augustine so special.


We value your privacy but are available 24/7 and quickly respond to any needs that you may have. We enjoy interaction with our guests and welcome feedback, questions, concerns and requests.


This home is special because you can walk 100 yards to the shore. The neighborhood is quiet with friendly neighbors who are all just enjoying the beach life. Also, Publix and a handful of restaurants are within walking distance. There's always a fantastic breeze blowing which makes it heavenly.

Backyard: private backyard with large swim spa, corn hole, several tables for dining outside, charcoal grill, shade sail and triple umbrella for escaping the heat.


Get around in style with a new water taxi service between the Vilano Beach Public Dock at the Pier and the St. Augustine Municipal Marina.


Must be at least 25 years old to book, primary renter must be present during stay.

Large swim spa can be heated during cooler months and used as a hot tub or as a small pool during the summer.

The golf cart can be driven throughout the neighborhood and to the shops and restaurants in the area. It can also be taken to the public parking lot 100 yards east of the home for easier beach access if needed. It can not be driven on the beach itself.

Cancellation Policy (does not apply to Airbnb bookings): If Guest cancels the reservation more than thirty (30) days before the Arrival Date, Guest will be refunded 95% of any payments made. If Guest cancels the reservation less than thirty (30) days before the Arrival Date, any payments made by Guest will be forfeited. No refunds will be given once final payment has been made. It is advised that Guest purchase Vacation Insurance through a third-party provider.

Girls Getaway

We had a wonderful 3 nights. Perfect accommodations for 4 adults (in our 60's, wanting own rooms.). Well equipped & comfortable. Loved the space, room for privacy and gatherings. Nice backyard for evenings. Beach close by. Short walk for sunrise and late evenings. We used the water taxi for a day downtown. (Red Boat Tours, Tony the owner. Very nice). I would book this place again!!

Vilano beach visit

House was very pleasant with great kitchen supplies for our group of 7. The outdoor patio had plenty of seats with hot tub that was inviting. Distances to beach and grocery store both easily walkable. Great accommodations and we’d love to come back!

The house was cute and clean, nice peaceful neighborhood. The only thing I heard was that the beds were to high up and my friends are tall :) More closet space or a wardrobe for the upstairs rooms is needed. Can see ourselves come back again.

Wonderful!

This property was beautiful and well maintained! We were a large group and never felt crowded. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The outside shower was a bonus. The location was so convenient. It was a very short walk to the beach and being able to walk to Publix was convenient. We stayed the week of the fourth and went to Bayfront to watch the fireworks. It was one of the best shows I have seen in my 58 years. St. Augustine does it right! I highly recommend The Spoonbill.

This beach house was everything! A quiet oasis from the town, simple access to the beach, quick walk to shops and restaurants, and a beautiful, well appointed home! The backyard was our favorite surprise! The large sandbox for our kids kept them entertained (and contained) for hours. Can’t wait to come back next spring!

Perfect Place

We went to St. Augustine for 2 concerts at Fort Mose. This was a great house for 4 couples. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and the house was spotless. Beds were all very comfortable and the backyard was nice for relaxing or playing games. Parking was ideal. We all left saying we hope to come back.

Great house!

Great house! Our family loved it! The golf cart was wonderful. We could drive to the beach and there were portions of the beach we could drive on! Driving to Publix was so convenient! The backyard is beautiful! A great fire pit area! Great having 3.5 baths. We all loved having the half bath even though we had 3 full baths! It is great if you have guests coming over. We had other family members staying in another house and the half bath was great when they came to visit! The house has a lot more room than it looks from the outside. We had three families in the house. Two families were in the two master suites on the first floor! My son, wife, and his daughter were on the second floor. There are two bedrooms up there with a living space, with a tv, and a bathroom! Just perfect for their family! We will definitely make this our first choice to stay when visiting St. Augustine! Property owners are very helpful and it is easy to get in touch with them!

Great location with everything you need.

Short walk (less than a block) to the beach. Beach gear already at the property to use. House has plenty of space with all the goods to entertain and cook. Backyard makes for peaceful evenings. No complaints at all.

Beautiful home in great location

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Wonderful home in the perfect location. The beach was so close. Nice and flat and you can walk for quite a while. It was quiet most of the time, and that's just what we wanted. Host was accommodating. Lots of beach chairs and everything you need for a great stay. Would highly recommend. Also recommend the pizza place by the Publix. Great pizza.

Beautiful House, Perfect Location

This house is modern, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated. Four bedrooms and five bathrooms was amazing! No one had to wait to get into a bathroom. The owner thought through the details - like a well-stocked spice rack, and providing laundry detergent. The golf cart was so much fun! We took it to lunch one day and to Publix to grocery shop another day. The location at the beach was perfect! The boardwalk to the sand is just a few steps from the house. I highly recommend this rental!!!

Our family just enjoyed a week enjoying this beautiful home. It is clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and was perfect for our family . We spent time inside cooking together and loved relaxing on the back deck and playing corn hole . Beach toys were a big hit for the kids . A Must Visit Gem

What a gem! From beginning to end, this house was a perfectly located get-away. It was only moments to the beach. The owners thought of everything, too. We really appreciated the wagon and chairs. I can't say enough about how beautiful Vilano Beach is! The house was also only minutes to the local grocery store and less than 15 minutes into beautiful downtown St. Augustine. The house, too, was great for our group of 5. The upstairs lounge was a bonus that let us spread out. We never felt on top of each other. The beds were comfy with pillow tops on each and bathrooms spacious. My brother-in-law has already said that this place needs to be an annual destination! We would all love to come back!

Spoonbill property

This was a fabulous location for our family vacation. It offered big waves on the Atlantic side and gentle tide pools and lots of beach at the inlet only two blocks away. The house was clean and well equipped for 8 people with varying ages.
