Has potential but could use some improvement
The good: the property is under renovations and has a lot of potential to be cute. The beds are new comfortable and the linens were clean and fresh. It’s not high end by any means but adequate.
Where they could improve: communication: we didn’t receive notification until day of arrival of how to “check in” and it was essentially just walking into the room and a key on the counter, which was a little uncomfortable. Key worked in the door lock but not the deadbolt so didn’t feel that secure leaving our stuff. Bathroom was very dated with visible water damage on the walls next to the shower, old fixtures like the shower head which could easily be replaced. We arrived to half a roll of toilet paper with no extra rolls. It took 3 requests to get more. The bathroom window had no curtains for privacy. The bathroom door was filthy, with dirty fingerprints and drips. We didn’t shower because we didn’t feel comfortable doing so. The bedside lamp didn’t work. It was just kind of strange? These are little things that can easily be fixed, but it’s these little details that make a stay worthy of 5 stars. I hope the host takes these as suggestions for improvement because we see the potential. We were gone all day at the track so nothing was a huge deal but it would have been more problematic if we spent more time in the room. We hope to be back when renovations are complete.
