Just a few steps from your humble abode, you'll find the pristine sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico where you can dip your feet in the waters, take a nap under the shade of an umbrella, or read a good book as you relax in the sun. The Gulf Range is a short drive away, where you and the family can enjoy a couple of games of mini-golfing or eat at its saloon that serves tasty food all day long.

After you're done exploring the beautiful coast, return back to your vacation rental to find a spacious main living area set up with comfortable tawny couches for you and your guests to rest on after a fun-filled day, a full kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances, and a balcony with a breathtaking view of the waters out on the horizon. Great location, nicely furnished, everything seems very new. Loved the hammock on the porch listening to the waves. Only complaint is that the keyless entry didn't work and we were not given a key, so we could not lock the house when we were away. A small table on the porch would be nice to hold cups while sitting in the rockers.

The location and the property were amazing. Check in process was disappointing. The keyless entry was not working and apparently has been malfunctioning for a few months. The property does not have a 2 full bathrooms, only 1 full bath and a half bathroom. Management Co needs to update their listing and the WiFi information. They need to provide the actual local network name, not the service provider. Luckily, we were smart enough to figure it out by process of elimination since there are only 2 homes in that location.

The cabin is located absolutely waterfront. Beautiful view on quiet beach. Comfortable furniture and very nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you could need and then some! The Includes combination Kuric and drip coffee maker. Generous supply on paper products also. Several outdoor articles including games are provided. We found the entry system not user friendly but someone came and helped us in a reasonable time.

The Gem Of Gilchrist is a True Treasure!

Friends and I stayed at The Gem from Friday thru Monday, February 16-19. I only had one problem with this beautiful house, it is so wonderful I did t want to leave!!! The home is welcoming and so comfortable. It was so hard to get of bed with the cozy comfortable mattress pads. The home’sproximity to the beach was a huge plus. And the price was right!! Hope to stay again soon!!!
