The hotel rooms are decent size. The surrounding area of the hotel is pretty run down (not the greatest). Convenient to the subway. Front desk definitely pick and chose who they want to provide upgrades to on rooms. I asked for a higher floor because it can get pretty noisy outside and they said they were full, with nothing available. Another gentleman checked in a few hours later and i just so happened to be in the lobby and overheard them saying that he was upgraded to a suite!

The continental breakfast isn't fresh and lacks variety but if you're a tourist in a hurry just looking to grab and go it's adequate. Surrounding neighborhood is rough but not unsafe and only a few stops/less than 10 minutes on the subway to Manhattan. Also only 20-30 minute walk to hipper neighborhoods.
