Hidden destination fee when I got there. Unfriendly front desk staff. Unapologetic about anything. We had been approved for early check in and upon arrival told us it was overbooked and we couldn’t check in early. So then we had to walk around in our airport clothes for the next 4 hours. Then our room didn’t have ac so she said it was fixed and then we went back up to the room and the whole unit was taken apart and the room was even hotter. Finally, the man at the front desk switched our rooms. Ridiculous for the price. A resort fee and a destination fee was paid so I shouldn’t have had such poor service.

Very convenient location in Times Square. Staff was excellent and attentive. Rooms were clean. The only minor inconvenience was the water pressure coming and going, but it was good for the most part. Would stay again!

The Aura at Times Square is a gem of a hotel! Prime location less than a block from Times Square, but it is on a small side street filled with restaurants and theatres. Quiet!! Inside the room was very newly renovated, up to date, nice and cold (quiet AC) and the beds were AMAZING. The staff at check in and check out were kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend and we will return on our next trip to NYC!

Staff were friendly and respectful. Rooms are small but clean. Housekeeping was great and on time. Elevators are tiny and there’s not much space in the room where to put your clothes but we managed. Great location! The Long Room Lounge next door was great!

I used to stay here when it was the Mela, always enjoyed my time in this boutique theatre district hotel. It closed for a while due to covid, but is back beautifully renovated and better than ever. I loved how some of the staff remembered me. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
