Room was dirty on arrival. Front desk was okay to deal with but management are useless. You call for assistance. They create a ticket. Promise to call you back. Never do, even when you follow up. And then they hit you with fees. There are better options out there. Give this one a pass.

I used to love the Yotel, but it is off my list. Check-in is at 3:00pm. But the rooms were not available until after 4:30pm. I understand that things happen but the staff made us feel that they did not care or want to be helpful. I applaude that the staff spoke another language. However, the person at the desk should know English or call someone that does. Even if they do not speak my language it would be good to try to be helpful. One of the rooms we received had heavy cigarette odor. When went to the desk the employee door opened with a great waft of weed smoke. They were too chilled to be of help. At that point, I realized the Yotel has change and not look for assistance.

Definitely just an okay budget property. The bed was hard, pillows not soft, & and you don’t get a real comforter. I didn’t get a good night’s sleep at all. The room was tiny & furniture old. The breakfast was very minimal as well, but doable. Not the absolute worst stay, but it definitely could’ve been better and they could use some major upgrades in the rooms. On the bright side, there’s a CVS right across the street & the hotel is in a great location that’s walkable. If you take the Uber shuttle to and from JFK, it drops you off at Port Authority which is just a 6min walk from the hotel. I’d honestly rate it a 2.5-3 star hotel for sure.

I have stayed here many times. It is slipping. It is hard to locate staff and the telephone concierge never lets you speak to a human, even about needed repairs, like an elevator button that does not allow a stop on the 15th floor.The lovely outdoor area on the 4th floor is locked until 11:30. I went downstairs to ask to checkout at noon rather than 11 a.m. and thry said OK. Housekeeping started banging on the door at 1115 while I was in the shower.

The property itself was great but had a very difficult time trying to get a hold of housekeeping and I requested a mini fridge the entire stay and even beforehand but didn’t receive, I would recommend and would stay again but I’d like that to be figured out a little better

if you want something in the city and you don’t care too much about cleanliness then this is the spot for you. however if you’re bit of a germaphobe you would probably feel more comfortable somewhere else. it wasn’t *filthy* buttt it wasn’t the cleanest either.
