About this property
Glamping in the Redwoods, with a hot tub! The Orchard
Our small family farm invites you to camp in luxury under a canopy of redwoods and stars. Located just 10 mins outside of Garberville in a redwood valley, we offer two glamping sites that have everything you need to enjoy nature in style. One of the sites is called The Orchard. You can drive your car right up to it. The other requires climbing stairs to the top of a hill. We call that one The Knoll. This page describes The Orchard. See our other listings to view more info on The Knoll site.
This carpeted 16 foot round bell tent features a queen size bed with all linens, pillows blankets, as well as a couch, coffee table, drawers for clothing, and solar powered lights both inside and outside. It has a small outdoor kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, pots, pans, coffee, tea, and a 5-gallon water jug. Enjoy your meals on a large outdoor table nestled under a shady canopy. Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided. There is a cooler, a compost bin for your food scraps, porto-potty service and a hand washing station. Internet is available.
For showering, feel free to use our gorgeous hand made spiral outdoor shower, and then relax under the stars in our 5 person hot tub! Please note, it is a shared hot tub.
Both tent sites are very private. You and the other campsite share the Porta-Potty and shower, as well as our hot tub.
Our farm is located 10 min drive outside of Garberville. Our driveway is a 2 mile dirt road in excellent condition that does require 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles. Unfortunately, this listing is not a good fit for 2 wheel drive cars.

What a fabulous spot deep in the Redwoods. This beautiful property is a touch of heaven if you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful environment and want to get away from it all for a while. The hosts are very nice and helpful and the tent and facilities are great. We only stayed one night but plan on definitely going back for a longer visit.

Peaceful Snuggle in the Redwoods
Wonderful way to camp when you can’t travel with your gear. Enjoyed the great outdoors, the scent of redwoods, deer quietly grazing, and fresh apples picked right from the campsite tree. Lovely

Perfect get away
Not a bad thing to say about this property. Such a beautiful place and wonderful hosts. Enjoyed every minute of our trip. The camp site was so thoughtfully set up and the kitchenette was great for cooking and came with a pot, pan and all the cooking utensils. The outdoor shower was awesome and the outhouse was very clean and well maintained. Can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to visit again!

Better than a five star hotel!
I arrived stressed out, I left four days later rested, peaceful, and revived.
So great to get away from all those Wi-Fi routers at hotels, where I don’t sleep well. Here, I slept like a baby and yet they still have star link for Internet access. Instead of waking up to the sound of refrigerators and cars and annoying hums, I woke up to the sound of silence. Except for the songbirds: hermit thrush, western tanagers, and goosebeaks, as the morning sunlight softly dappled on the tent through the redwood trees.
The tent was spacious and clean, with tight zippers to keep out insects. Lots of warm blankets for chilly nights.
Ernesto and Ana were a long stone throw away in the main house in case I needed anything, but they had already taken care of everything. A lot of hard work, and Love obviously goes daily into their property.
Remote location, a beautiful 10 minute drive on a dirt road to arrive at this piece of paradise!

Great experience!
Having never been glamping before, we were excited to experience this for the first time. The description is very accurate and the pictures properly depict the site. The tent/furnishings were very comfortable. Bugs were plentiful between 7 and 9 at night. Spray was supplied but be prepared if you plan to hang out during those hours. The hosts communicated well in advance and directions to the site were spot on. They were on site for a detailed tour upon arrival. The hot tub under the stars was amazing and the outdoor shower to clean up before going to bed was roomy/private. Feels very remote but is actually not really very far from Garberville. Highly recommend and will stay again if in the area!
This was a wonderful experience! Wonderful hosts! High level of personalization and consideration. They informed us of a lot of cool things to do while in the area. Would do it again!
We stayed for the Avenue of the Giants Marathon and the location was perfect. We were close enough to hike and explore then come back for a good nights sleep. Hosts were amazing and responsive! Wonderful experience.
My friend and I loved how off the grid this place was. It was very peaceful, and we were a huge fan of hot tubbing while star gazing. The hosts were also very kind and friendly, giving us suggestions of places to eat and check out a river to cool off during a hot summer day.
One thing to note is that there is a rather long gravel road to get there which is hilly. We had a 2WD car with low clearance, and it handled it just fine. We just took it slow, and it wasn't an issue. Definitely would recommend the place for anyone wanting to get away and enjoy nature.
