Everything was really good.

Only reason for the 4 star over all was because there was no closet. We were there for some formal affairs and had no where to hang our dress clothes other than some hooks in the bathroom. Needs at least a wardrobe. But over all it was fantastic, would definitely go back!

Cute Place

Very cute place. Secluded but not too far from the main drag. Bed was a little uncomfortable and 72° was too hot to keep the temp at. (Told us we couldn’t put below). Other than that it was good for what we needed.

Disappointing

Disappointing items at the cabin Hot tub was not usable as it had broken items Washing machine did not work and maintenance crew was not able to fix it We were accused of bringing a pet. There are two cats that live on the property and not sure what made them think we brought a pet The mattress needs to be replaced as soon as possible. Very old and worn out Incorrect code given for the game room You can only turn the air conditioner down to 72° and not lower or the unit will freeze. Thank goodness we weren’t at the cabin in the middle of summer or we would’ve been miserable Found probably around 20 to 25 screws outdoors. Definitely do not walk around barefoot Several items of yard art were just laying on the ground so attention to detail was lacking We shortened our stay by one night as we were just ready to leave

Relaxing!!

Wife and I wanted a quiet long, relaxing long weekend, and that is exactly what we got! Enjoyed what Fredericksburg had to offer during the day, and sitting next to the firepit or hot tub staring at the stars. Pro Tip: Grab some ranch fresh steaks from farms market on Thursdays, and drop on the provided grill for an awesome meal!

Wonderful stay!

Our first time staying in Fredericksburg and wanted it to be special, and our hosts did not disappoint! Absolutely loved the vibe and layout of the interior and had a very relaxing hot tub soak after our wine tours. Definitely looking forward to next time!

Lots of Potential

We enjoyed our time in Fredricksburg and the Janis had some great things such as the hot tub, decor, and cleanliness. I was disappointed that the view from the Adirondack chairs seen in the VRBO pictures is no longer the same. They seem to be building another unit there. In addition, the couch was very uncomfortable and there were not enough towels for two people to shower and use the hot tub. All in all it was not worth high price per night we paid, but it would be a good value at lower price.

Nice Lodging, but could have been better.

The lodging and property were very nice with wonderful amenities. This place could (and should) receive a higher rating except for several problems: (1) door knob was falling off. Held by one screw and was so loose that we were concerned about getting in and out. I called and reported this each day that we stayed, but nothing was ever done; (2) the water to the commode was turned off. Thankfully, the simple fix of turning the water back on was all it needed; (3) the hot tub electricity was not turned on and there were no instructions on how to turn it on. The water (probably left over from the previous guests) was luke warm and uncirculated. Hopefully, it was safe to use, but quite disappointing that the hot tub did not work: (4) the dishwater is not bolted down and tilts outward when the dishwasher door is opened. I wish I could have given this place a better rating, but there were simply too many problems to do so.

A Few Suggestions

There were a number of "houses" to rent in this area and the name Janis was difficult to see. We passed by it and didn't see the signage until we turned around. Also, there were lovely string lights on the patio but no way to turn them off. The front door was glass with no curtain to provide privacy. There was a Keurig coffee maker but no K-cups so it would be helpful to be told that in the description.

Amazing place!

Loved everything about Janis!!! The location, the ambiance, the hot tub and even the cats (which i assume are to help keep critters away). Janis is decorated so well and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances. We cooked an amazing dinner on the grill and enjoyed sitting in front of the fire pit with a glass of wine! We didn't use the game room but I can see how it would be fun with a bigger group or the kiddos! We will definitely be back !!

This cozy little bungalow was everything we needed for a weekend getaway in Fredericksburg Texas. We enjoyed the nice bottle of wine on our arrival, and every little detail was thought out and well planned, kudos to you all for such a fantastic little getaway spot! Hope to be back soon!
