Gardens Aglow Friends Weekend

"We had a wonderful stay with another family, making it two families and three kids (ages 8–10) in total. The house was very family-friendly. The kids absolutely loved the bunk beds and the selection of toys, which kept them entertained throughout the trip. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed, making it incredibly convenient. We were also charmed by the woodland animal-themed holiday tree—it added such a cozy and festive touch to our stay. The location was perfect, with an easy drive to the Botanical Garden, the main highlight of our visit. We highly recommend this property and hope to stay again in the future!"

Girls Weekend 2024

The home was clean, roomy, and very well equipped inside and out. The property was very well maintained. The deck was amazing for having your morning coffee and listening to the birds and also for just winding down after a day of adventures on the harbor. The location was perfect close to the hustle and bustle of the beautiful quaint town and very peaceful and serene at the home. The private access beach was very nice as well quiet ripple of soft waves, nice clean sandy area to relax and a roped of section with a float to swim to. I would 100% recommend this home!

Wonderful location and property

We had a delightful stay! Indoor and outdoor spaces were exactly as expected. The beach club is a little bit of a hike but totally worth it. Kids enjoyed some beach time and hunting for crabs.

Boothbay Harbor Stay

Spent two days in Boothbay Harbor while traveling Maine. This house was perfect for my three teenagers. Beautifully kept house in a gorgeous quiet neighborhood minutes from town. We loved it.

Idyllic cozy cabin!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was clean, updated, organized and very cozy. It would be a wonderful place to stay a while. We all agreed that we wished our short stay was longer. The kids loved the bunk beds and toys. The adults loved eating out on the deck and sitting around the fire pit. The weather was in the 80s, but the cabin never got too hot. Would definitely book this cabin again!

Beautiful Rental and Wonderful Vacation

The cabin is fully prepped for any length of stay and the location is beautiful and peaceful. The most important part was being able to take our dog with us. The available laundry and children’s toys were a blessing for everyone. My daughter especially appreciated the star night light projector with sleeping in a new place. This was our first time in the Sprucewold neighborhood and the location is stunning with privacy, nature on your doorstep, and a beautiful beach. Our family enjoyed the amenities and walks in the morning. We had deer walking in the front yard and wild turkeys crossing the road. The entire area is beautiful and quiet. Vacasa, the property management, were very helpful and answered any questions during our stay. I definitely recommend this property for families to vacation at.

Sprucewold Cabin

Great secluded location. Beautiful grounds - well maintained. Wonderful porch area where we spent most of our time. Well stocked kitchen. Only issue was w/ the gas fire pit - did not work. And communication w/ Vacasa was significantly delayed and did not address the issue.

Family Weekend

We had a wonderful stay. Of all the places I have rented, this house was perfectly stocked with everything our group could want. The attention to detail to the kids toys and games was amazing. My nephew had a blast. The house was clean and welcoming. The washer and dryer were so nice to have. The beds and furniture were comfortable. We loved the porch and the fire table. The location is perfect for us, close to town but still tucked away and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

First visit to Boothbay

At first I was not sure due to the fact that the code did not work. Called the number located on the front door and we were assisted immediately. The house was perfect for us and we felt extremely comfortable. However, it was uncharacteristically HOT so that was the only downfall. But we found some fans and it wasn't terrible. House had everything we needed and really enjoyed the peacefulness and the amazing views.

Lovely rental

We stayed for two nights and found this rental ideal for our needs. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well-equipped. We didn’t use the private beach but it was a nice location.

Perfect March break getaway

This property nicknamed “cozy cabin” was the perfect spot for our family getaway. We enjoyed a week-long stay over spring break. The cabin was just as pictured, the kitchen was well appointed for home cooked meals, and the woodsy setting offered a quiet change of pace with the opportunity for walks to the waterfront and into town.

Great for families

All the games and little things, like small fan in the bedroom, made for a comfortable, low stress stay. Loved all the kid cups, high chair, and having a washer and dryer made it easy to keep everything clean!

Quiet comfort

What a lovely cozy home to get away to for a relaxing few days. Loved the location, felt secluded in the woods but a short drive to town. The home had all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

October in Boothbay

Four long- time friends were on a leaf- peeping trip to Vermont and Maine. We enjoyed the cabin and surrounding woods. The town of Boothbay is quaint and welcoming. We took a boat cruise around the islands and went to the gardens. Our only issue was the wifi was spotty and we needed to sign in daily.

Sprucewold Getaway

Our family enjoyed this property throughout our stay. The cabin and yard were wonderful - our boys enjoyed the toys both inside and out. We drove to the beach as it did not seem practical to walk up the hills back with children. The cabin is in close drive distance to many of the area attractions. Staying in the Sprucewold neighborhood was a quiet escape from the crowds downtown! Beautiful area!

Well appointed, close & quiet

We had an enjoyable stay. The house was very well appointed and updated. It's very quiet with an awesome deck (1/2 covered) which is where we spent kuch of our time. It wasnt very beachy but we enjoyed the log cabin vibe and Sprucewold history. The house was clean although the upstairs bathroom was musty and had a "wet sponge " smell, which we didnt love. The house is about 5 minutes from town, which was great. Certainly not a "beachy" stay, but quiet and relaxing.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean cabin

There was plenty of room for everyone (family of 4) and the place was beautiful inside and out. Check in was easy, except when we arrived, the trash (on the porch right by the entrance) was overflowing and smelly. Contacted the management and was informed it was going to be picked up the next day--which it was--but it seems like that's something that should happen before any new guests check in, since we had to live with it for a whole day and night. The location is beautiful but know that it does not have a water view, and what is described as a wooden path to the beach turned out to be "washed away" (as someone who lived along it told us when we found ourselves on their property where the trail seemed to disappear. It is only about a half mile to a very nice little beach, but getting there requires climbing very steep stairs. Wasn't an issue for us but might be for some. I highly recommend this place if you're not desperately desiring to be right on the water. It's possible to walk or bike into town if you're up for some very steep hills. This place would be great for a family with little kids--even our teenagers loved the giant connect 4 game and some other little surprises scattered throughout for kids.

Great place in the woods.

We enjoyed our short stay. The place was clean and well appointed. We had to "re-clarify" that we had a service dog (despite filling out the paperwork on registration), but it was quickly remedied. The area apparently has a lot of people trying bring in fake service dogs.
