The B Historic l is a very minimalist, modern hotel with a great location in the historic district of Savannah. Everything in the Historic District is walkable if you are willing to put some miles in. The B is quite pricey for the rooms and drinks at the bar. Don't forget to add $25 per night for Valet Parking to your room cost, not included in your booking. Unfortunately during a two night stay we did not have maid service as they didn't come to the room until 4:30 PM and we were back in the room for a moment and had to turn the service down. The front door to the room let every sound from the hallway into the room, and there were lots of noisy people - that was pretty disappointing for a hotel that is this expensive. Our room was right in front of the elevators, so I would recommend requesting to be at the end of a hallway away from those. There is a mini fridge in the room, and the beds were comfortable and AC was quiet. Ceilings in room were high. We were on the front of the hotel and did not have much of a view except the parking garage across the street. Overall, I would stay here again with some minor changes, but I would probably opt to be on the Riverfront for the price we paid.
This hotel was nice and clean and relatively close to all the fun! However the parking is ridiculous! However I'm from a small town where parking is usually always free... also we have a manual car and some of valet guys couldn't drive manual. Made us very nervous letting anyone drive our vehicle!
We had a good experience here and felt very comfortable. The room was clean and modern and had a fridge, which was a nice touch. The staff was friendly, the gentleman who checked us in was really sweet and greeted us whenever we went by the front desk, the valet station is right by the front door and they also greeted us as we passed by. Those are nice touches, a well-trained, friendly staff is a huge asset to any hotel and much appreciated. The location is really good, it's in the historic district, but far away enough that we could still find street parking. We could walk to all the sights easily. We would definitely go back next time we're in Savannah.
Stayed here for a business trip and meeting at the hotel. Excellent service all the way around. Nice rooms, good restaurant and bar. Close to tons of wonderful other restaurants, bars and attractions. Will definitely be returning Highly recommend.
B Historic Savannah is located in a great spot. Easy walking to historic and downtown Savannah and all 22 squares. Friendly staff and helpful concierge. Housekeeping is inconsistent at best. Attention to detail is clearly not a priority at this locale. Unfortunately that downgraded the potential pleasure of the stay.
This hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient especially the front desk and the concierge. Nothing seemed to be a problem from them, asking for information about Savannah or staying an extra night. The cost of the room, ver yclean spacious and comfortable, was very reasonable. ( Breakfast was aa wee bit expensive for what you got) It is in an ideal location within easy walking distance of many of the town's beautiful and interesting attractions.
The B Historic is a beautiful hotel. The lobby and kitchen/restaurant are stunning. The room was great too. Housekeeping did a great job. The front desk answered all of our questions. For those who are confused when they don't see a mini fridge, check in the dresser under the TV.
We thought we would be at a B&B, but found out this is a boutique hotel, located on the edge of Savannah's historic district - only 2 blocks from the Savannah Welcome Center/ Museum & Trolley Tours (unlimited on & off). The restaurant had a limited but delicious menu that we enjoyed for breakfast 4 mornings & 2 out of 5 nights. Very comfortable accommodations, great beds & pillows, & Aveno soap/lotion/shampoo/conditioner. The concierge arranged a 2-for-1 day on/off trolley tour for us, so day 1 we got the "lay of the land" & day 2 we toured (walked) on our own, grabbed the trolley when we wanted & had a really great day!
Staff was good, cleanliness was a let down by far. Didn't receive good room service or no new tolertires for the room. It was my mans birthday, and I asked several times for a bottle of champainge to the room and was told yes, it never happened.
We visit Savannah often and had never stayed on a hotel that was not on "River Street". Well this was a pleasant surprise. The purpose of this trip was to attend a hockey game at the Civic Center. That was how we chose this property that was walking distance. It actually is right across the street from the arena. The check in process was fine. the line was long because the lobby is small, but it was quick. Bryant(?) assisted us and he was wonderful. The room was fabulous! The seating area was large enough for 6 and the bathroom was the largest hotel bathroom we have seen in a boutique hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and the service was impeccable. We did not have the chance to enjoy the bar area, but many patrons were. The Atrium overlooked the lobby and bar and was a great place to people watch. I highly recommend. It is still walking distance to River Street and all the good downtown activities. A suggestion is to use the parking garage next to the hotel. It was inexpensive and seemed to be safe.
