Spring Break with family
We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Camelia. The beach was walking distance, and there are some fantastic trails on the nature reserve. The house was very clean, and there were all the amenities you needed for the beach: chairs, coolers, snorkeling masks, and kayaks. Also, it’s a great location. We were able to go to the grocery store and pick up things we needed, but there is a restaurant that is walking distance, too. We did day trips to El Yunque and San Juan while staying for the week (we rented a car). I definitely would plan to stay at Villa Camelia next time I plan a trip to Puerto Rico in the Fajardo area.

Nice house
Nice house. Not directly on the beach and the surrounding area isn’t the most pleasant I could only hear a generator running constantly instead of the ocean… but a clean, nice house.

Beautiful beach
We had a lovely stay at this location. The house was very clean and well equipped with all the essentials. A beautiful beach is a very short walk away as well as several good restaurants. Only downside was that there are chickens running wild and the roosters woke us up every morning around 6:30. The neighboring trailers can be loud on the weekends so overall we suggest bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise it was nice to explore a more off the beaten path side of the island and it was and easy launch point for boat trips to the nearby islands and bioluminescent bay.

Winter Break
We started our stay during the New Years Eve blackout but we were able to make the best of the situation by spending time in the beautiful outdoors and at the nearby beaches. Power was restored after a day, but the plant that supplied the water was not restored. Communication was amazing with the owners as they arranged to have water brought in to the cistern so we were able to have running water. They were very responsive the entire vacation. Thank you! When we first arrived we were skeptical of the area as there were many trailer homes, but we were in awe of the accommodations of this property inside and out, that we didn’t notice as much. We felt completely safe in this area. We started to fall in love with the island living, even the roosters in the morning! We loved lounging in the hammocks and were so grateful for all the beach chairs, wagon and cooler that was made available to us during our stay. The beach was literally steps from the property and if you drove a little further down there was parking at Seven Seas beach and a path to follow for some of the most beautiful beaches! The location was perfect for visiting El Yunque and the Loquillo kiosks and an hour from Old San Juan (a must see!). The owner was wonderful and made several great recommendations of places to visit.I would highly recommend this place to stay for your next visit to Puerto Rico!

Merry Christmas
The first thing that caught my attention was how immaculately clean everything was. (Including the outdoor garbage bins. You could have eaten out of them - seriously!) We appreciated having such a clean, comfortable space literally across the street from the beach. We also felt very safe due to the large automatic locking gate. The yard was incredible. The patio amazing. The beds and pillows were very comfortable too. The home smells so nice and fresh. Communication was a breeze and the owners were so sweet to allow us to arrive early with very short notice. The roosters were a bit of a bummer, but by the third morning we got more used to them and were sleeping better. If I ever return to PR, I will definitely stay here again.
Loved this house! Everything we needed was there. The owners were responsive with questions and even sent us names of places to. Easy check in. Close enough to walk to the beach and several restaurants. There were fruit trees in the yard! Fajardo is a great town to visit!

Great stay at Villa Camelia. The location was great; It's a 2 minute walk to the great beach for swimming and snorkeling, several good spots to eat within a couple minutes drive and two good grocery stores within 5-10 minute drive.
The property itself was safe, secure, clean. AC was cold, everything worked as described.
We had an awesome stay and great interactions with the host.

A slice of paradise in PR
My family and I had a wonderful time at Villa Camelia, the property and location exceeded our expectations. The house itself is very roomy yet cozy with a lot of personal touches to make you feel welcome. From the grand yard, garden, and lower deck full of amenities (hammocks, bbq grill, private bathroom) to the second floor interior with a fully equipped kitchen, living area and bedrooms all with individually zoned A/C, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your vacation. Other than a run to the local supermarket for basic food staples, there really isn't anything else needed to fully immerse in all the calmness and excitement that Puerto Rico has to offer. The host is really personable and made sure that our stay was worry free by providing clear information and suggestions about local restaurants, markets, travel destinations, etc, all including GPS coordinates and driving directions when needed. But all that aside, the most wonderful aspect of the property is that it is literally a very short 2.5 minute WALK away from one of the most beautiful (and secluded) beaches we have visited in Puerto Rico. The host made sure to make available anything and everything you'd ever need to enjoy your time at the beach. We could not ask for a more wonderful place to call home away from home. Thank you!

A nice little gem
This house was the perfect place for our family. We utilized the outdoor space for most of our visit, it was nice to spread out and relax. The owners were quick to respond to any issues we had (water pressure dropped due to maintenance, and fortunately there was a backup water tank). The roosters were lovely to hear in the mornings. I would say the only real drawback was that this is a weekenders area, and the surrounding community of trailers enjoyed partying. Sometimes it was loud, but it never went too late and was never intolerable. Maybe it’s not every weekend, we were there Easter weekend. The location was killer, walking distance to so many different places to enjoy - the locals beach across the street, Seven Seas, Playa Colora, Escondido, downtown Las Croabas. The amenities were simple but we had all we needed, other than salt and pepper and a good knife. We would love to stay here again in the future.

beautiful home just a block from the beach
house and grounds are very pretty and inviting, with all the amenities we could have asked for (including kayaks, hammocks, lawnchairs, and a huge tub of snorkel gear and beach toys), several beautiful beaches within a few blocks' walk, and some truly excellent restaurants just down the street (both Kalizo and La Estacion were wonderful). hosts communicated promptly and were able to resolve an unexpected and minor mechanical issue with minimal inconvenience. overall a great place to stay. highly recommend.

Enjoyable stay.
The two-story house is extremely comfortable, clean and well-equipped. You will find everything you could want, from pots and pans to beach towels to beach chairs. The air-conditioning works well. The owner/managers respond immediately to every request,
We will note several features that may concern some guests. The view from the house is mobile homes , parking lots and not-particularly attractive cement block buildings although you can also see the ocean. The renowned Seven Seas beach is a 5-10 minute walk or short drive away. The hot water in the house was lukewarm — adequate for showers but not ideal for washing greasy pots and pans. Finally, guests who stayed more than a week had no cleaning or changed towels mid-stay.

Location, location, location!
Excellent location if you love beautiful beaches, adventures, hiking and birding! The Faro trail and wetlands trail in San Juan Cabezas was great for birding. There are also trails to amazing beaches and a a great restaurant right in front of the property. The spacious house had a great beachy theme with lots of places to sit inside, downstairs and in the yard. Very compfy and had everything you'd need including beach stuff, which we didn't utilize. They even brought over a blender when we couldn't find one. Super place!

We loved it there!
Like others stated it was a little disorienting at first because all around are mobile homes that don’t always look in great repair. Once the gate opens you are in this lovely open yard with a great under-the-house space with hammocks, a bathroom and a locked closet with the washer and dryer.
We hadn’t realized that 7 Seas Beach is considered one of the best. It appears that many or most of the mobile homes are people’s summer homes. The neighbors we met were all very nice and the beach is a very short walk.
The house is very cheerful, clean and welcoming. It had more supplies than some places we have stayed which is always great when you first arrive. We rented a car and Fajardo has plenty of places to get groceries and such so we were very comfortable. You can see the ocean/bay from the door and upper porch.
The windows are older and don’t completely shut so the AC has to work a little harder and lizards/geckos can get in. As general wildlife lovers we were charmed not alarmed and helped them back outside.
I had to contact Iris Torres a few times.(where’s th

Amazing property (great for kids!)
Love love love this property. It was clean, spacious, secure, and close to the beach. Iris was beyond helpful throughout the entire process. She was helpful at suggesting stores and local places.
Pros:
AC worked BEAUTIFULLY (for each room)
Gated/secure location
Gate at top of stairs (plus for kids!)
Kid friendly (not much to move around so kids don’t destroy)
Huge fenced in yard/property
LOADS of beach toys!!! Plus towels!
Super close to beach: 3 minutes to local rentals (SUP, snorkeling, etc), 7 minutes to super calm beach
Cons:
Difficult to find (HOWEVER Iris is super responsive and very very helpful)
Away from all the stores (go to stores for food/etc before coming to property)
Road to property is strange- one way/tight fit
Definitely recommend for kids. Can’t give enough credit and praise for the owner.

Wonderful House
We had a great time in this house! It was clean, well stocked and adorable. It was plenty of room for our family of five. We were a little concerned when pulling into the neighborhood of campers and trailers, but the house was beautiful and secure! We spent time at the beach in Fajardo but also went to Luquillo Beach which was larger and gorgeous as well. We visited the local restaurants and had great experiences! We can’t wait visit again!

Lovely home, great relaxing location.
We highly enjoyed our stay, the location of the house is perfect, you can walk to the beach (which isn't crowded at all) take a visit right out front to a nice local restaurant and eat, or walk back home and eat in the spacious downstairs open area, or the upstairs balcony enjoying the view of the ocean. The home is equipped with a lot of little things that add up to convenience, so that all you need to do is enjoy your stay. Also the location is within easy driving distance to plenty of water based excursions, including the bio-luminescent kayaking is a literal 4 min drive or (15 min walk) away. Stores and various other eateries are all within 15 mins (even a Wal-Mart). EL Yunque Rainforest is a short 30 min drive, as well as other land based activities like zip line, ATV, Horses, etc.
More on the home...each room is comfortable and air conditioned, beds are comfortable well kept, and the place is quiet with the nighttime sounds of the Coqui frog of course. There is a full bath downstairs, and one upstairs. The host are quick to respond, welcoming, and informative, this was much appreciated, and we look forward to happily returning one day indeed.

Great stay
The house has everything you could ask for. There’s a large fenced in yard and several hammocks on the first floor to lounge in the breeze along with a nice bathroom and laundry. There was plenty of room in the second story for our family of 5. The kids didn’t run out of entertainment on the property. The beach is a short walk away and also a local restaurant is right out front. The owners were very helpful with any questions. It’s close to the port for fishing charters or boat tours and not far from the el yunque rainforest for hiking and waterfall exploring. There are several beautiful beaches and the luquillo kioskos for shopping and dining within a short drive also. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for tons of options for entertainment.
