Small property; easy to navigate. Heated pool and good food.

we were not happy with the noise from the construction next store. We felt that some consideration should have been given us.\ We would like to return here next year, but we won't if the construction is still going on.

The property was small and clean. The down side was that they are constructing a new sister hotel right next door. The crews worked daily from before dawn til 7pm. Which was a loud sound track to chilling in the pool.

Loved everything about this place except the construction was very Loud

The pool and fancy large jacuzzis, location in front of beach with plenty of vendors and attractions (jet ski, banana boat, etc,) all rooms are facing the beach and not the city. Plenty of parking

Construction in progress to noisey at times other wise very good stay.

What a wonderful place! Excellent food (except for the “oriental” nights) superb service, and stellar accommodations. Every want and need was granted. The only downside was the fact that they are currently under construction of a new building on the property with lots of construction noise on the daily. I was never told about this and booked this trip 6 months in advance. If I would have known about that while booking or even sometime in he 6 months before arriving I might have reconsidered my booking and changed to a different location. But all in all, the all inclusive option was well worth the money.

We went decided to go to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon. We decided to stay at the Sunset plaza because it was a good price and wanted to try all inclusive. The location is perfect, it takes about a 5-10 mins bus ride/ cab ride to the boardwalk and about 20-40 mins walk from the hotel to the boardwalk beach. The hotel staff made the stay very pleasant. Our room was a suite it was big, and very cozy. The room was clean. Room service is amazing. They have midnight tacos!!. I would recommend this hotel for families or newlywed couples. They have an adult pool as well.

I've learned that every all-inclusive hotels in Mexico really push the hotel grounds "tours" (which are merely time share/points system sales sessions), in return for discounted events. This one is no different, and the staff here were especially pushy and actually cost me 4+ hours of my morning. Then the promised gifts were not as promoted. I probably should have stuck to my guns and respectfully declined. Also, all Jacuzzis were not heating the entire time, which was a real disappointment. We mentioned it to the staff the first night, and each day they seemed surprised, with no resolution. Otherwise, great attentive staff, especially the wait staff and butler. The place felt very secure and good location, close to the marina, airport and downtown. Rooms were very clean and massage was AWESOME!

We've been here six years in a row and enjoy the hotel and hospitality. Speaking to others who tried different hotels in the area, this one seems to be an excellent choice.

We stayed at 2 different hotels during our stay and this was by far the better of the 2. It isn't a big resort style hotel with a lot of activities but they make up for it with a great and helpful staff. If you are looking to just relax and take a break from reality, sit back, eat great food and have a drink this is your place! Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The food was great which I was worried about with an all inclusive resort. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

My husband and I just got back from Sunset Plaza and we already want to go back! We stayed 4 nights at Secrets resort and 4 nights at Sunset plaza and definitely glad we split the trip at two resorts because Sunset Plaza is where it's at! The staff was incredible! Especially Jesus and Juan. Jesus was at the pool and served us every day - genuine and kind man that made us feel special and taken care of! Juan was our guide and was great! My husband and him set up a special surprise for me. See attached pictures:) The food was delicious! Even though it is a family oriented place I think it is a great place for couples too. Our room was outstanding! We were in a one bedroom suite on the 6th floor. Awesome view! Take me back!!! ❤️

The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Staff members David, Ernesto and Richard deserve special mention. The pools and beach area were very clean and the public bathrooms were spotless. I would highly recommend this resort.

The room is the best! The balcony and room were spacious and clean with a great view! The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Morning yoga on the covered deck next to the ocean was a treat! The hotel did not seem crowded and the pool was beautiful and always easy to get a chair. The only downside was one of the two elevators were not working most of the time. The beach was good and not the best..

My partner and I were in Puerto Vallarta over the Christmas holiday. Sunset Plaza Beach Resort amenities were impeccable. The entire property, room and public areas were spotless. The staff went out of their way to welcome us and meet every need we had. The resort location was perfect - less than a 10-minute cab ride from the center of town . Far enough away from all the congestion of the city . This was our first all-inclusive resort. We would definitely visit again and recommend to others, especially the LGBT community.

We so enjoyed our stay at Sunset Plaza! The staff was amazing. Especially Rafael (bartender:-)) and Katya (the activities director). The pool was large, good for kids and adults and quite warm. (There's also a separate adult pool and separate hottubs.) The food was very good. Rooms were surprisingly large--we had a suite with a full kitchen, 2 baths and the largest balcony I've ever had with a beautiful ocean view. Kids club was small but sweet. The location is an easy ride to town (by bus it takes 10 min.) and there are stores etc. right on the main street. The beach in this area is not as expansive as some other areas, and I would probably pass on big special occasion meals that aren't buffet-style, as the wait's a bit long. But other than those small things, we loved it. And thanks to Mr. Javier!

VIP hotel credit is totally a fishing bait -- did not give to clients voluntarily and had all limitations to prevent clients from using the coupon.
