Do not stay here

They did not have our Hotels.com reservation. They said they do not accept reservations from this company. Thank God they had empty room and charged me what the hotel.com price would have been. The map was deceiving. It was not close to the beach. It was on a main thoroughfare. Extremely noisy traffic all night long. The room had recently been redecorated. Very sparsely furnished but very clean. The hot water ran for less than two minutes before running out. The misleading hotel picture made you think it was a much nicer,newer property.

The hotel did not have my reservation. They did not have another persons reservation that booked through hotels.com either. I’m not sure whose fault it is. But being Easter weekend, we both were able to get rooms. Hot water lasted only 5 minutes and then it was cold. Ants everywhere on floor. The man running the place was a nice guy though.

New family run hotel. Unfortunately I do not speak Spanish - staff did their best to support me during check in and were so lovely and proactive. Important to be aware that the central location means that there is lots of traffic at night and buildings in the town do not have insulation. This would be an issue wherever you choose to stay down town. Close to old town Puerto Vallarta.

Poor hotel for Hotels.com to advertise.

We did not stay at the Rio Mar Hotel. We had a hard time finding it because the address was incorrect. That hotel’s private website gives a different address from what Hotels.com posts. When found there was no person in the building to give us a key to a room.

On a super busy road, if you don't call after you think you reserved a room and confirm your going they will cancel your booking and give your room away.

The place is convinently located near the Malecón/city center. The cons are that there are no amenities included (pool, restaurant). No elevator available if you have elderly people. It by a busy bride crossing so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, then this isn’t for you. What you do get a clean room and friendly service. It’s convenient if you’re on a stopover headed somewhere else but not recommended for long stays

Great location next to the river with a 5 minute walk to the zona romantica bars and restaurants. 10 minutes to the beach. Great for a solo traveler who needs clean and safe place to sleep. Has air conditioner and tv. Shower and bathroom are combined. Didn’t have housekeeping daily but I think it was an option I just didn’t understand. The only drawback is the noise. The street it’s located on is a main drag and very busy making it loud. There’s also a hotel with bar behind it that plays loud music. So it’s quite loud even with the windows closed. The door locks are a single push button like multiple other hotels in PV that always make me nervous and there’s no in room safe or hotel lobby safe. This is great for those on a budget that won’t be in the room much.

Horrible experiencia con este hotel, no respetaron mi reservación y nunca me avisaron, esperaron a que llegara al hotel para decirme que habían sobre reservado y que no tenían disponibilidad. Horrible hotel no lo recomiendo.

No tienen un registro digital, al llegar nos comentaron que el precio de la pagina no era el correcto. "Reserve" una habitación doble, pero al llegar me dijeorn que el precio no era el de la doble y que no tenian disponibilidad. Lo anterior hace perder tiempo y dinero porque estas seguro de llegar a un lugar y terminas teniendo que buscar a la mera hora otro lugar donde quedarte, habiendo muy pocas opciones al ser el mismo día.
